After 477 days in Hamas captivity, four freed hostages reunited with their families in Israel on Saturday.
The emotional reunion took place at the Reim military base, shortly after the female soldiers—captured during Hamas’s October 7 attack—were handed over to Israeli authorities as part of a ceasefire deal.
In exchange, 200 Palestinian prisoners were released, including 120 serving life sentences for deadly attacks on Israelis.
The freed women were part of a mostly female observer unit stationed around Gaza to monitor Hamas activity and were among 251 hostages taken during the assault.

00:15I want to say thank you very much. I love you.
