00:00A Chinese national and two Filipinos were arrested for espionage in the country after being arrested in the Philippines.

00:12Luvisa Erispe with the country's latest news.

00:17After being arrested by a Chinese national for espionage,

00:22and taking 3D images of EDCA sites, military bases, power plants in the country,

00:27and even LGU offices, the Armed Forces of the Philippines tightened their security in the countryside.

00:34The AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Bronner Jr. himself said that

00:38they were alarmed that a foreign national in the country would do such a thing.

00:44So these are all very important information that we believe,

00:48if used by the military, would be very dangerous for us.

00:55Just like the AFP, the movement of the suspect is based on the tactics of a military.

01:00That's why they are now ensuring that in other camps, information will not be obtained.

01:05We as military, once we have a plan to attack a specific installation or facility,

01:14we should know almost everything.

01:17The topography, entry and exit points, even the configuration of the buildings inside.

01:25According to the National Bureau of Investigation,

01:28it's good that the Chinese national was arrested for espionage.

01:33Because of the initial information, it's now in Luzon,

01:37and the target is to surround Visayas and Mindanao until the entire Philippines is finished.

01:42They have a map of where to go.

01:45In fact, their plan is that after they surround the entire Luzon,

01:50their next target is Visayas and Mindanao.

01:55As of now, the suspect is still in the custody of the NBI,

01:58along with the two Filipinos who are being held responsible for this.

02:01The complaint was filed to the Department of Justice,

02:04and the Justice Department said that they will ensure that the law will punish him

02:09because the safety of the Filipinos is at stake here.
