In this interview, we find out what technologies a European project has studied and put into practice to ensure that the origin of a diamond is certain from the moment it is mined.

00:00Diamond ID, which marks the diamonds under the surface of the diamond, can give you or

00:24With technologies as ours, you don't have the situation in which you can mix the bloody

00:31diamonds or diamonds from unknown sources with those diamonds which come, I don't know,

00:36from Botswana, where everything is controlled and all the security and environment politics

00:45are in place.

00:48And then there's the second technology, so it's security holograms, it's marking which

00:55is made on the surface with the hologram, but it's also a very good technology because

01:01it's impossible to counterfeit the hologram or this micro mark from underneath the surface

01:08is stored in the database, and then you can also see the path on the diamond, and there

01:14is like physical connection with the digital database, and the two come together and you

01:22are sure that the diamond which is marked is a diamond in the database.
