00:08But it speaks to him not being a highly sought-after, hot candidate.

00:12It means maybe he's not the right guy for the job,

00:15but you also don't need to rush to hire him.

00:17Meaning you can take your time and interview these guys,

00:19some of these guys that are still on playoff teams,

00:21really do a full search and make sure you don't settle.

00:24And it's my counter to, if no one else would hire him,

00:27it's my counter to, oh, he's such a good offensive coordinator,

00:30anybody would hire him. Really?

00:32I don't know about that.

00:33I don't think he has an interview.

00:34So, like, what's the rush?

00:36No, there's no rush.

00:37The guy was out of football last year.

00:39And he was out of football for half the year before that.

00:41And I'm told he's this great candidate.

00:43Like, where are his interviews?

00:45Maybe he'll get a job and I'll be wrong about this,

00:47but that is a strike against him.

00:49It's not the reason not to hire him, fair.

00:51There's a lot of reasons not to hire Josh McDaniels.

00:53But that is on my list.

00:55And I think it tells you that not a lot of people want to, you know,

00:58hire him and think he's a viable candidate.

01:00But what's also strange is people around the league are suggesting,

01:04oh, maybe he goes to Detroit.

01:05Well, what about all the openings right now?

01:07How come he hasn't interviewed for any of those openings right now?

01:10Now, maybe some of it is.

01:11I'm saying.

01:12Teams right now.

01:13A lot of those teams don't even have head coaches.

01:14Yeah, so maybe that's your answer.

01:16But, guys, people are interviewing for coordinator's jobs.
