00:00Even more of our countrymen are able to buy cheap rice under the new BBM Rice Program.

00:09This is the details of Chris Hedreda of the Philippine Information Agency, Laguna.

00:17The National Irrigation Administration, or NIA, continues to sell 29 pesos per kilo of rice in Laguna

00:24under the new BBM Rice Program.

00:28This will help senior citizens, persons with disabilities, solo parents, and four-piece beneficiaries

00:34to buy rice in a cheap price and help them with their daily expenses.

00:39This program is good because it's a big help to us who sometimes rely on the gifts of our children

00:48and the little that we receive.

00:50This is a big help. I hope that this program will continue and that it will have many benefits.

00:56The rice that is sold is imported by local farmers from Santa Maria, Laguna

01:01who buy NIA as part of the Farming Support Services Program or Rice Contract Farming Program.

01:07This program helps to increase the income of the farmers

01:11because of the support of NIA from production, import, and sale.

01:16This is a big help to the farmers in Santa Maria.

01:28NIA assured that the program will continue because of the enthusiasm of the voters and the support of the farmers.

01:35We are here in front of you so that you will be able to buy rice in a reasonable price

01:41that will be a result of the hard work of the farmers.

01:51As part of the Food Security Agenda of the government, NIA hopes that more farmers will join the program

01:57that will result in more people buying cheap rice.
