00:47and the Department of Agriculture to make the price of rice affordable.

00:52According to Malacanang, from 58 pesos, the maximum suggested retail price for rice

00:59has dropped to 45 pesos this Monday.

01:06MSRP was implemented after President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. approved

01:12the reduction of rice tariffs to 15% from 35% in July 2024.

01:18Because the price of rice has fallen, the inflation rate has also fallen this February.

01:24Rice retailers are also feeling the effects of their business.

01:28Christopher used to be able to buy 80 catties of rice.
