00:56which has a precision of up to 30 meters,

00:59then in 2014, the number was 43.

01:05If you talk about the newcast facility,

01:08which forecasts the immediate weather for the next three hours,

01:12then in 2014, this facility was available

01:15in only 120 cities in the country.

01:18Today, it has increased tenfold to 1,200 cities.

01:22And in 2017, a new facility was started,

01:25extended forecast.

01:28That is, every Sunday,

01:30an accurate forecast for the next two weeks can be given,

01:33so that you can plan your calendar accordingly.

01:37If you talk about average rainfall,

01:39then before 2014,

01:41on a country-wide level,

01:43the average rainfall was reported.

01:46Today, it is reported region-wise.

01:50And if you talk about Doppler weather radars,

01:53then today, they have been installed in cities like Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi.

01:59And to make full use of all this,

02:04artificial intelligence has also been used,

02:07machine learning has also been used.

02:09And the degree to which the Prime Minister has given priority to this department,

02:14is proven by the fact that

02:16in the third term of the Modi government,

02:19in Modi government 3.0,

02:21in the first hundred days,

02:23the important decisions that have been taken,

02:25one of them was the launching of Mission Mausam.

02:31Mission Mausam aims to provide world-class facility

02:44a weather-ready India,

02:46a climate-start India.

02:48Weather-ready India means

02:50India ready to face any weather change or challenge,

02:53foreseen or unforeseen.

02:55And climate-smart India means

02:57no longer India which is not taken seriously for climate concerns,

03:00but an India which lays down goals in climate concerns

03:05for others to follow.

03:08And in these 100 days,

03:11two more important decisions have been taken,

03:13which also supplement the efforts of this department.

03:17One of them is the allocation of Rs. 50,000 crores for the National Research Foundation,

03:22and the Viability Fund of Rs. 1000 crores for space startups.

03:28Today, the medium of information is not limited to radio and TV,

03:32we also have websites,

03:34we have our own SMS platform,

03:37and WhatsApp groups too.

03:39And for the dedicated sectors,

03:41different facilities,

03:42for example, the agriculture sector,

03:44defense sector,

03:46aviation sector,

03:48and as far as neighboring countries are concerned,

03:50not only is the weather forecast being done,

03:53flash floods are also being informed,

03:57avalanches too,

03:58cyclones too,

03:59glacial lake outbursts too.

04:03you will be happy to know

04:05that there are some IMD centers in India

04:08which have achieved global fame.

04:11One of them is our India Meteorological Center in Srinagar,

04:15which is more than a hundred years old.

04:18And it has been given the title of Centennial Center

04:21by the World Meteorological Organization,

04:24which is present here among us.

04:30And that is why,

04:31in the end, I will just say this,

04:33that under Prime Minister Modi,

04:35the mantra is no longer,

04:37what the weather will be tomorrow,

04:40but the mantra today is,

04:42what the weather will do tomorrow.

04:45And our aim is to manage strategies
