00:08IMD has evolved through various phases, demonstrating progress and commitment to the nation by blending
00:17ancient wisdom with modern science and technology.
00:21Our commitment to observing and forecasting is a narrative of resilience and innovations
00:27leading to protection of life and property and welfare of the society.
00:32The early warning system of IMD has undergone paradigm shifts through scientific and technological
00:38advancements and sustainable financial investment by the government in recent decades.
00:46We are further planning to augment observational modeling and forecasting systems.
00:52We can assure you, sir, within a year or two, there would be significant improvement in
00:59forecast accuracy and no localized severe weather event would go undetected and unpredicted.
01:06Sir, we made a plan for a year, next five years, and for 2047, the Amrit Kal, to bring
01:15transformative change in predicting weather and climate.
