00:00Later tonight, the construction of the 3rd subway station on Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City will start.

00:08This is Noel Talacay's report.

00:13A part of Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City has been temporarily closed

00:18where the construction of the Metro Manila Subway Project will be done.

00:24This will be the old Sora Station, the 3rd subway station in the northern portion of Metro Manila.

00:32According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority or MMDA,

00:37the construction will start later tonight and will continue until 2028.

00:44According to the MMDA's volume count,

00:47an estimated 100,000 vehicles pass through the southbound lane

00:53and 70,000 vehicles pass through the northbound lane of Mindanao Avenue.

01:00If someone closes or opens a new road on Mindanao Avenue,

01:07this is the Northbound Diversion Road, Mindanao Avenue.

01:11According to the MMDA, this will serve as the alternate route for vehicles.

01:16According to the chairman of the MMDA, Attorney Don Artes,

01:21in a statement, he said that motorists should not be alarmed

01:27because there will be people who will use this alternative route.

01:32According to the MMDA and DOTR, they will put road or traffic signage to guide the motorists.
