00:16Here at the Travel Expo of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association,

00:21It started yesterday and will last until tomorrow.

00:24There are more than 300 local and international exhibitors.

00:27According to the Department of Tourism,

00:28the Philippines is leading when it comes to domestic tourism in Asia.

00:32It's valued at 66.2 billion US dollars.

00:37And it's precisely expos and exhibits like this

00:40that help our local destinations be introduced to our tourists.

00:45Because of this, there are a lot of flights that are a big deal when it comes to connectivity.

00:49But if we compare it to international travel in neighboring countries,

00:53it's said that it's still more expensive to travel here in the Philippines.

00:56We also encounter a lot of tourists

01:00who say that it's more expensive to visit us

01:02than to visit Thailand and other countries in Asia.

01:08There are still a lot of people who travel locally

01:57Like right now, we have a shortage of rooms in the Philippines.

02:02That makes the Philippines expensive compared to Vietnam.

02:05According to Frasco,

02:06it is part of the priority of the current administration of infrastructure,

02:10such as the arrangement of areas like Naia,

02:13which will be followed by areas in Bohol, Bicol, Iloilo, Lagindingan, and others.
