00:00
Good afternoon to all of us, this is an update on the current time.
00:05
The shear line or cold and hot wind is still affecting southern Luzon and Visayas,
00:13
where the shear line will continue to be weak until it reaches its limit
00:18
if there is a strong downpour in the Mimaropa, Bicol region and eastern Visayas.
00:25
However, due to the cold, parts of Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, Cordillera and Sevillon
00:33
will also experience cloudy skies with weak to moderate rainfall.
00:39
This is due to the cold.
00:41
However, here in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon,
00:45
we are expecting generally fair weather or clear skies,
00:48
but there is still a high chance of weak rainfall or thunderstorms, especially in the early hours.
00:55
Due to the easterlies, parts of Davao region and Soxergen will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainfall.
01:05
However, parts of Visayas and Mindanao are expected to experience generally fair weather conditions,
01:12
but there is still a possibility of thunderstorms this afternoon until later tonight.
01:18
We are not monitoring any low-pressure areas or typhoons that may affect our country.
01:25
For the future, the shear line will continue to be weak until it reaches its limit
01:32
if there is a strong downpour in the Mimaropa and Bicol regions.
01:38
There is still a chance of weak to moderate rainfall in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Sevillon, Aurora and Quezon.
01:52
Here in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon,
01:58
we are expecting cloudy skies until later tonight,
02:01
where there is still a chance of isolated light rains,
02:04
weak to moderate rainfall or thunderstorms.
02:10
The temperature here in Caminilaan is around 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.
02:15
In Tagaytay, it is around 21 to 29 degrees Celsius.
02:20
It is still cold in Baguio City, where the temperature is around 14 to 22 degrees.
02:25
In Milawag, it is around 22 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:29
In Taguigaro, because we are still expecting cloudy skies with rain,
02:34
the temperature will be around 20 to 26 degrees.
02:39
And because it is raining in Legazpi City, the temperature will be around 24 to 28 degrees.
02:48
We went to Puerto Princesa and Calayaan Islands,
02:51
where the temperature will be around 25 to 30 degrees Celsius tomorrow.
02:57
For our fellow countrymen in Cabizayaan,
03:00
here in Eastern Visayas, because of the effect of the shear line,
03:04
we are still expecting cloudy skies tomorrow.
03:08
But in Western and Central Visayas, we are expecting clear skies,
03:12
especially in the morning and evening.
03:15
But by afternoon and evening, we are still expecting heavy rains
03:19
because of the localized thunderstorms.
03:22
Our temperature tomorrow in Tacloban is around 25 to 30 degrees Celsius.
03:27
It is also the same in Iloilo and Metro Cebu, where it is around 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:34
Because of the effect of the shear line,
03:37
the part of Davao Region and the part of Soxergen
03:41
are still expecting cloudy skies tomorrow.
03:46
But in the southern part of Mindanao, we are expecting clear skies,
03:50
but it is still possible for thunderstorms to occur in the afternoon and evening.
03:55
Our temperature in Cagayan de Oro is around 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:59
In Metro Davao, it is 25 to 32 degrees.
04:03
In Zamboanga, our maximum temperature is around 32 degrees Celsius.
04:09
Because of the effect of the shear line,
04:11
we have a weather advisory in Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur,
04:18
Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Northern Samar.
04:22
This means that today and tomorrow afternoon,
04:25
it is still possible for them to experience 50 to 100 mm of rain
04:31
or to experience thunderstorms in the mentioned areas.
04:34
That is why we are still warning our countrymen
04:37
because they have already experienced rain for the past few days.
04:41
That is why the chances of flooding and landslides are higher.
04:46
We will continue to keep you updated with updates
04:50
where you can also visit the issuances, heavy rainfall warnings,
04:55
thunderstorm advisories, rainfall advisories
04:58
that are issued by our Pag-asa Regional Services Divisions.
05:02
You can see this on our social media accounts and on our website.
05:08
When it comes to Sunday afternoon until Tuesday afternoon,
05:12
the areas of Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, and Albay
05:17
are still expected to experience moderate to heavy effects of the shear line.
05:24
That is why we are preparing these areas
05:27
because the expected rains are likely to result in floods
05:32
and landslides, especially in low-lying areas and in mountainous areas.
05:38
For our countrymen who will go fishing,
05:41
our gill warning is still high in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur,
05:45
Western Coast of Pangasinan, Eastern Coast of Cagayan,
05:49
along with Baboyan Islands, and also in Isabela.
05:52
We also have gill warning in the Northeastern Coast of Aurora
05:56
and in the Northeastern Coast of Polilio Islands.
05:59
We also have gill warning in Baybayin of Camarines Norte,
06:03
Northern Coast of Camarines Sur, Northern and Eastern Coast of Catanduanes,
06:08
Eastern Coast of Albay and Sorsogon,
06:10
Northern and Eastern Coast of Northern Samar,
06:13
and in the Northeastern Coast of Eastern Samar.
06:17
If we have gill warning, we do not allow our countrymen to go fishing,
06:22
even those who have small fishing boats,
06:24
because of the possibility of large and high waves
06:28
where the wave height can reach up to 5.5 meters.
06:34
For our three-day weather outlook in the major cities in Luzon,
06:38
particularly in Metro Manila,
06:41
where Monday to Tuesday will be a gloomy time
06:45
and there is a high chance of low to moderate rainfall due to drought.
06:52
But when Wednesday comes,
06:54
we expect an improving weather condition here in Metro Manila.
06:58
In Baguio City, because of the strong downpour,
07:01
Monday to Wednesday will be a gloomy time
07:04
and there is a high chance of low to moderate rainfall.
07:08
And in Legazpi City, because of the shear line,
07:11
until Wednesday, the sky is still cloudy
07:14
and there is a chance of rain, thunderstorms and landslides.
07:19
Let's go to the Visayas area,
07:21
where in Metro Cebu and Ilo Ilo City,
07:24
for the next three days or until Wednesday,
07:26
we do not expect heavy rainfall,
07:29
but we still prepare for thunderstorms in the afternoon and at night.
07:33
But in Tacloban City, because of the effect of the shear line,
07:37
until Wednesday, the sky will be cloudy
07:40
and there is a chance of rain, landslides and landslides.
07:45
Let's go to Mindanao, where in Metro Davao,
07:48
when Wednesday comes, the sky will still be cloudy
07:52
and there is a chance of low to moderate,
07:54
if there is a strong downpour.
07:57
But in Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga City,
08:00
we expect a clear sky from Monday to Wednesday,
08:05
where we will monitor only in the afternoon and at night
08:08
because it is still possible to experience heavy rainfall.
08:13
Our day here in Manila will be cloudy until 5.45 p.m.
08:17
and it will be sunny again tomorrow at 6.24 a.m.
