00:00The Social Security System, or SSS, claims that the additional contribution of the members is continuous.

00:06But compared to the additional contribution, the benefits of the members of the SSS will be greater.

00:13For example, the lowest additional contribution of Php 190 to the members

00:18will be replaced by Php 900, which is an additional benefit to the members who will get sick every month.

00:24The retirement pension of the members will also be added

00:27while the capacity of the SSS will be increased to be able to pay the debts of those who have been affected by the calamity.

00:34It is estimated that Php 51 billion will be collected from the higher contribution.

00:41The SSS said this following the calls to suspend the SSS Premium Hike.

00:46In addition, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersami said that the SSS studied the so-called HAC Bank well.

00:55We acknowledge the requests on the suspension of the SSS for the increase.

01:05But it will be more difficult for our Filipino workers if we suspend this or delay it.

01:11Because the money that the SSS will get will be used to improve our benefits in the future.

01:22So let's postpone it for now. I think that call may be good for next year if it ever will be reviewed.
