00:23Members of the Social Security System or SSS of Calamity Loan
00:29can now apply for the Calamity Loan as long as they live in the areas affected by the next typhoons Christina, Marseille, Nica, Ophel, and Pepito.
00:37According to the Social Security System,
00:40qualified members can avail up to P20,000.
00:45We are asking our members to know that we have a Calamity Assistance Package.
00:51Qualified members are those who live in areas declared as under state of calamity
01:00by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
01:04For qualified tropical cyclone affected members, they should have at least 36 monthly contributions.
01:11Six of these should be posted within the last 12 months before filing an application.
01:18There should also be at least six months of posted monthly contributions
01:22under the current membership type before filing an application for self-employed, voluntary, and land-based OFW members.
01:31They should also live in areas that are under state of calamity due to the typhoon.
01:36There is no final benefit claim such as permanent total disability or retirement.
01:41There should also be no past due SSS short-term members loan.
01:46There is no outstanding restructured loan or calamity loan.
01:49And if employed, their employer should certify them through the My.SSS facility.
01:56This can be paid by our members within two years or 24 months.
02:03So, it's an equal monthly installment.
02:05But the payment is for the second month following the date of approval of their loan.
02:11For those who will apply for calamity loan,
02:13they can just use their My.SSS account on the SSS website.
