out due to significant oversupply. A bid to convert a former hotel in one of Blackpool's

main holiday areas into bedsits has been thrown out by Town Hall planners. The application had

sought permission for the change of use for the former Anakin House Hotel and Palatine Road into

a 10-bedroom HMO housing multiple occupations, with each room designed for single occupancy.

But Town Hall planners have refused the application on the grounds it went against

quality housing. St Anne's woman knocked down by Honda Civic in Clifton Drive and taken to
