00:04Here is a daily bulletin. Storm Eowyn, Lancashire residents told do not travel on Friday unless you

00:10have to. Lancashire Highways bosses are urging people to work from home if they can on Friday

00:16and to avoid travelling for any other reason if possible as the country battens down the hatches

00:21for the incoming storm Eowyn. The Met Office says the winds, which are predicted to reach 50 to 60

00:28miles per hour inland and potentially up to 60 to 70 miles an hour in the north but in northwest

00:33Lancashire as well as in coastal areas and the higher ground pose a risk to public safety.

00:38Localised gusts as strong as 80 miles an hour have also been forecast. An amber weather warning

00:44for wind is in place from 6am until 9pm on Friday with the yellow one starting for midnight on

00:49Thursday and resuming after the amber is lifted. Lancashire County Council says its highway teams

00:56are ready to deal with the impact of storm Eowyn with extra staff on standby to deal with any

01:00issues but the authority is nevertheless recommending people stay indoors if possible.

01:07Brassic fans dealt massive blow after learning tv tv show starring a Lancashire actor Joe

01:12Peelegun has been cancelled. Fans of a beloved tv series have been left gutted after learning

01:17it has been cancelled. Sky's hit comedy series Brassic which has started filming its seventh

01:24season has been axed after six years. The comedy show which stars Michelle Keegan 37 and

01:31controllers Joe Gilgun 39 charts Vinny and his mates Petty Crime Escapades who were recently

01:38spotted shooting scenes in Burnley's Townley Park for the upcoming season on Sky Max.

01:43Fleetwood pub restaurant Strawberry Gardens handed one start for hygiene after wire council inspection.

01:49Strawberry Gardens pub and bistro in Poulton was awarded the lowest score following an inspection

01:54on November 1st last year. Food safety officers from wire council were not impressed with the

02:01standards at the pub when they visited unannounced and said major improvements were necessary.

02:08During the inspection concerns were raised about hygienic food handling,

02:12management of food safety and the cleanliness and condition of facilities of the building.

02:19More than 25,000 new homes are coming to Preston, South Ribble and Shorley by the early 2040s here

02:26as well. Central Lancashire will remain a place with room to breathe even after the building of

02:32more than 25,000 new homes across the area over the course of nearly two decades. That is the

02:38pledge from Preston, South Ribble and Shorley councils after they published one of their final

02:42drafts of the document that will determine where their new housing is developed and in what

02:48quantities all the way through to 2041. The Central Lancashire local plan has been in the

02:53works for more than six years and has now been ready to be presented to the independent planning

02:58inspector this summer for assessment and approval. It sets out how the three neighbouring areas will

03:03work to deliver the number of new homes demanded by the government and formally sets aside the

03:09land on which it can be built.
