00:16A child has been removed from a Preston primary school after bringing knives to class.
00:23Police were called to St Matthew's Church of England Primary Academy
00:27in Newhall Lane after the youngster was found in possession of two folding knives last Wednesday.
00:35Her teacher Mark Mackley said the alarming incident was dealt with swiftly
00:40after teaching staff were made aware of the knives at the start of the school day.
00:47The knives were confiscated, the pupil was removed from class and the child's parents were contacted.
00:54Mr Mackley said no one was harmed or threatened and the knives were never visibly displayed in school by the pupil in question.

01:36Posting once more on Facebook earlier this week to inform their loyal customers,
01:39a spokesperson for the business said,
01:41We are on course for closing our door for the final time at 4pm on Friday.

02:31The water park, which has 18 slides and attractions, has many customers visit daily.

02:43a spokesperson said, We regret to inform you that due to an unexpected power outage,
02:49Sandcastle Waterpark will not be able to open today.

03:08The post added that the Sandcastle Waterpark would be issuing all guests with a full refund
