00:04Here is the Daily Bulletin. Plans have been launched to build a 38-bedroom hotel on the

00:09car park of a River Valley gastropub. Bosses at the Eagle in Barrow want permission for the facility

00:16on the only use of the car park as a lot of 38-vehicle spaces.

00:23They say that the Eagle has become increasingly popular for big events such as weddings but there

00:27is no overnight accommodation. An agent for owners Fencegate Ltd, which also owns the Fencegate

00:36and the Fencegate Lodge, said the expansion of the Eagle through the addition of a hotel

00:41represents a significant opportunity to boost the area's economic prospects and long-term prosperity.

00:49The site extends to 0.42 hectares and the

00:54application proposes the erection of a two-storey, 38-bed hotel development. There is no spa,

01:00leisure, restaurant, function rooms or conferencing facilities within the proposed hotel

01:05because food will be available at the Eagle. Michelin-starred chef and MasterChef judge

01:11Lisa Goodwin-Allen is leaving Lancashire's Northcote restaurant.

01:16After 23 years, Michelin-starred chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen has announced she is leaving Northcote.

01:24Lancashire-born Lisa joined Northcote at just 23 years old and her passion, creativity and

01:29unwavering commitment to excellence quickly elevated her to Executive Chef and one of the

01:34most respected figures in British gastronomy. Her tenure has been defined by a deep respect

01:41for British ingredients, pioneering seasonal menus that showcase the best of local produce.

01:47Northcote has retained its Michelin star for an astounding 29 years and the bosses say this

01:52is a testament to her skill, vision and the exceptional standards she has upheld.

01:58Reflecting on her time at Northcote, Lisa Goodwin said,

02:00I am incredibly proud of everything we have accomplished at Northcote

02:05and more recently across the Stafford collection.

02:10We have been let down as the Blackpool school staff member who threatened my girl has order

02:18withdrawal. Lancashire Police have rescinded the community resolution order handed to a staff

02:23member who reportedly threatened a Blackpool pupil. Two weeks ago we reported on a Blackpool

02:29mum's anger that her nine-year-old daughter had been verbally threatened by a staff member at

02:35Martin Primary Academy. Mum of two, Kathleen Smith, who is from the Travelling Community,

02:41says whilst in the afternoon class her daughter Crystal was being disruptive and naughty but this

02:46was not out of the ordinary for Crystal as staff know she can sometimes be difficult.

02:53What was out of the ordinary however was the reaction from a staff member who reportedly

02:58in an outburst of anger said to a colleague get her out before I kill her.

03:06I have launched a women's only walking group in Blackpool. 1,300 people have joined in a month

03:11and come and get involved. A new walking group giving Blackpool women a chance to find soul mates

03:18is proving a huge success. The Wandering Woman group was launched

03:25via Facebook by Peter Mellington, 37, less than a month ago. Since then around 1,300 women have

03:32joined online and the numbers taking part in the first three walks have grown on each occasion.

03:38Peter, a married mum of four from Leighton, Blackpool, said it's just started with me and

03:44a couple of friends organising a walk via Facebook and then it sort of snowballed.
