00:00Good morning to all of you and live from the Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.

00:05The time is now January 6, Monday, 2025.

00:11In our latest satellite images, we can see that there are clouds that bring rain,

00:16particularly here in the eastern part of Visayas and Mindanao.

00:20This is a part of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

00:23While there is a high chance of rain, particularly in the eastern part of Southern Luzon,

00:28including some areas of Calabar Zone, Mimaropa, Camarines Provinces,

00:33as well as the shoreline,

00:35even if the aurora part can experience cloudy skies with rain.

00:40Meanwhile, this Northeast Monsoon, or Hanging Amihan,

00:44will still bring cloudy skies and rain,

00:47particularly in the Manacagayan Valley region and Cordillera.

00:52We hope that in the coming days,

00:55the Northeast Monsoon, or Hanging Amihan, will still be strong.

00:59This is why this area, especially the northern part of Luzon,

01:03will experience cold temperatures in the coming days.

01:08Meanwhile, the Intertropical Convergence Zone, or these clouds,

01:12can continue to bring rain, especially in the eastern part of Visayas.

01:17This is why it is important for our countrymen,

01:20especially in the eastern Visayas and eastern Mindanao,

01:23to be aware of the potential for sudden floods and landslides.

01:29Meanwhile, based on our latest data,

01:32at least in the next one to two weeks,

01:34there is still a small chance of a typhoon in the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

01:40In other parts of our country, we will experience generally fair weather,

01:44but isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are still possible.

01:49Here in Luzon, we expect a high chance of rain,

01:53particularly in the Aurora and Quezon areas,

01:56as well as in the Camarines Norte and Sur areas,

01:59and some parts of Oriental Mindoro,

02:01along with the Marinduque, which is the tip of the shear line,

02:05or the hot and cold winds.

02:08Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon will still bring light rain,

02:12especially in the Cagayan Valley region and Cordillera.

02:17As I mentioned earlier,

02:18we expect the Northeast Monsoon to bring strong winds in the next few days.

02:23In other parts of the Ilocos region,

02:25including Central Luzon,

02:27we expect isolated light rains,

02:29while in parts of Manila and Calabarzon and Maropa,

02:34we will experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

02:38Although generally, we expect fair weather in the southern part of Luzon.

02:43Temperature outside is 22-30°C,

02:46while inside, it's 25°C.

02:49In Baguio, it's 15-22°C,

02:51while in Manila, it's 22-30°C.

02:54In Tagaytay, it's 22-29°C,

02:57while in Legazpi, it's 24-29°C.

03:01We will also see thunderstorms and rainfall advisories

03:05if we see a chance of rain showers in particular areas of our country.

03:12In Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,

03:15generally, we will experience fair weather in Palawan,

03:19except for isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

03:22In Calayaan Islands, it's 24-30°C.

03:26In Puerto Princesa, it's also 24-30°C.

03:30There's a high chance of rain showers in eastern Visayas.

03:33Be careful, especially in flash floods and landslides.

03:56In Cebu, it's 25-31°C,

03:59while in Tacloban, it's 25-30°C.

04:03There's also a high chance of continuous rain showers,

04:06especially in the eastern part of Mindanao,

04:08the area of Caraga and Davao region.

04:11We have already witnessed strong rains in the past few months,

04:15especially in Davao region.

04:17Be careful, our fellow countrymen,

04:19in the potential of flash floods and landslides.

04:22In the southern part of Mindanao,

04:24we will experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,

04:27followed by localized thunderstorms.

04:30The temperature in Zamboanga is 24-33°C.

04:34In Davao, it's 24-32°C,

04:37while in Cagayan de Oro, it's 24-31°C.

04:42And for now,

04:43we have a high gale warning,

04:44especially in Batanes and Babuyan Islands,

04:47which is the tip of the Northeast Monsoon.
