00:00Good morning to all of you from the Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.

00:04This is the time of the day, today is Wednesday, the second day of the new year, 2025.

00:10In our latest satellite images, we can see three weather systems that are affecting our country.

00:16The Northeast Monsoon Amihan, particularly in the northern part of Luzon.

00:20The Shirline or hot and cold winds that are affecting.

00:25The eastern part of the northern and central Luzon, as well as the Intertropical Convergence Zone, or ITCZ.

00:31It is bringing heavy rains, particularly in the part of Mindanao.

00:37We also have the Visayas and some parts of the Bicol region.

00:42While the Shirline will bring heavy rains in the eastern part of Luzon,

00:47particularly in the area of Quezon Province, as well as in the area of Romblon.

00:53It will also bring heavy rains in the part of Isabela, Aurora, as well as in the Cagayan Valley region,

01:01particularly in the province of Cagayan.

01:03The other part of Cagayan Valley will experience light rains,

01:07along with the Amihan or Northeast Monsoon, along with Ilocos Norte.

01:11The other part of Luzon will experience, along with Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Central Luzon,

01:18will experience isolated light rains in the northern part,

01:23while we have thunderstorms in the central Luzon, along with Metro Manila and a large part of Calabarzon.

01:31We can see that there is no low-pressure area that is being affected inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

01:37It is possible that by the end of this week, or by the weekend, we will have a low chance of having a typhoon.

01:43And here in Luzon, we can see that there is a high chance of heavy rains,

01:47along with the ITCZ, particularly in some parts of the Bicol Region, along with the province of Romblon.

01:53Meanwhile, the Shire Line will still bring heavy rains in the eastern part of Luzon,

01:59particularly in Cagayan, along with Isabela, as well as the area of Quirino,

02:05along with Aurora, and some parts of Quezon Province.

02:11Meanwhile, there are low chances of heavy rains in Cordillera,

02:15and a large part of Cagayan Valley Region, along with Ilocos Norte.

02:19And in the large part of Ilocos Region, we have isolated light rains.

02:25Here in Manila, along with a large part of Central Luzon, as well as Calabarzon,

02:31we can still see the sun, but it is possible that there will be isolated rains,

02:37and rainfall advisories will be issued if there is a chance of heavy rains.

02:43The outside temperature is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius,

02:47and around 23 to 28 degrees Celsius.

02:51In Baguio, it is 16 to 23 degrees Celsius,

02:53while in Metro Manila, it is 24 to 30 degrees Celsius.

02:57In Tagaytay, it is 22 to 29 degrees Celsius,

03:00while in Legazpi, it is 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.

03:04And in a large part of Palawan,

03:07it is possible to experience cloudy skies with heavy rains,

03:10along with the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

03:12The outside temperature in Calayan Islands is 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.

03:16In Puerto Princesa, it is 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

03:19There is a high chance of heavy rains in a large part of Cabizayaan,

03:23especially here in Eastern Visayas, along with ITCZ.

03:27The outside temperature in Iloilo is 25 to 30 degrees Celsius.

03:30In Cebu, it is 26 to 30 degrees Celsius.

03:33While in Tacloban, it is 25 to 30 degrees Celsius.

03:36The skies will also be cloudy in a large part of Mindanao,

03:40along with ITCZ, especially in the eastern part of Mindanao,

03:44the Caragat and Davao region.

03:47The outside temperature in Zamboanga is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

03:50In Cagandeoro, it is 24 to 30 degrees Celsius,

03:53while in Davao, it is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

03:57We do not have a high-level gale warning.

03:59This is what we expect in a large wave of the sea,

04:02but be careful in the northern areas.

04:04We expect strong winds in the northern areas of Luzon,

04:09so be extra careful,

04:11especially in small ships and boats,

04:14because it is possible that you may experience a high-level gale.

04:19Tomorrow, we expect a high chance of moderate or heavy rains,

04:28particularly in the eastern part of Luzon,

04:31especially in the province of Cagayan,

04:33along the shoreline.

04:35Be careful of the possibility of flash floods and landslides.

04:39By Saturday, we expect rain in the eastern part of Cagayan Valley Region,

04:45along with Aurora and the province of Apayao.

04:48Be extra careful, especially in the potential of landslides and flash floods.

04:53This is along the shoreline,

04:55or the hot and cold waves.

04:58We also expect that by the weekend,

05:02Saturday and Sunday,

05:03there is a high chance of flash floods and landslides

05:08in a large part of Luzon.
