There are still heavy rains in many parts of the country due to different weather systems.
00:06
The first one is the north-east monsoon.
00:09
It brings mild to moderate rains in the north and north part of the northern Luzon.
00:14
The shear line or the line where the hot easterlies and cold monsoons meet
00:19
brings heavy rains in the north part of the Luzon.
00:22
There are also heavy rains and thunderstorms.
00:25
While in the south part of the country, there is still the Intertropical Convergence Zone
00:30
or ITCZ.
00:31
This is the line where the wind blows from the northern and southern hemispheres
00:36
and these cloud clusters can be seen in Barteng, Sulusi, and Palawan.
00:40
This is associated with ITCZ.
00:43
But this does not expect that there will be a storm in the next few days.
00:48
In a large part of the Luzon, there are still heavy rains due to different weather systems.
00:53
Light to moderate rains are expected in Batanes and Baboyan Islands.
00:57
There are also moderate to at times intense rains in Apayau,
01:02
in Cagayan, Isabela, Pababanang, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.
01:08
This is due to the shear line or the line where the hot and cold winds meet.
01:12
There are still heavy rains in the northern part of the country.
01:15
In a large part of Mimaropa, this is due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
01:20
So be careful of possible floods and landslides.
01:23
And if you go outside, make sure that you still have an umbrella.
01:27
In the remaining part of the northern and central Luzon,
01:29
there will also be an effect of the Northeast Monsoon.
01:31
You can expect dry and light rains.
01:33
While in Metro Manila and the rest of Calabarzon,
01:36
it's partly cloudy to cloudy skies.
01:38
And there is still a chance of dry and wet rains,
01:41
especially in the afternoon and evening.
01:45
For Metro Manila, the temperature is from 24 to 30 degrees.
01:48
While in Cordillera Region, Baguio City, it will still remain cold from 17 to 24 degrees Celsius.
01:56
For our Palawan people, the rains are the strongest for today
02:00
due to the cloud clusters inside the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
02:04
So be careful of possible floods and landslides, especially in the northern part of Palawan.
02:10
In a large part of Visayas, at some point, there will also be rains.
02:13
So prepare an umbrella and a raincoat.
02:16
There is a high chance of rains in the eastern portions,
02:18
including Eastern Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte.
02:22
And at some point, in the western and central portions of Visayas,
02:25
there will also be scattered rains and thunderstorms.
02:28
Our temperature in Metro Cebu is from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:34
And for our people in Mindanao,
02:36
there will also be heavy rains due to the effects of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
02:40
There is a high chance of rains in Zamboanga Peninsula,
02:43
Caraga Region, and Davao Region,
02:45
especially in the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte,
02:48
Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte.
02:50
And at some point, in the remaining part of Mindanao,
02:53
there will also be rains, especially in the afternoon and evening.
02:56
So make sure that we have an umbrella,
02:58
and always follow our advisories and heavy rainfall warnings.
03:03
Our temperature in Metro Davao is from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:08
Due to the strong north-east monsoon,
03:11
we still have a gale warning here in the northern Luzon,
03:14
as well as the northern Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur,
03:21
south of Northern La Union, and western coast of Pangasinan.
03:25
That is up to 5 meters, or at one and a half level of the house,
03:28
above the waves.
03:30
It is still dangerous for small sea vessels,
03:32
especially for our fishermen.
03:34
And in the remaining northern Luzon,
03:37
up to 3.5 meters.
03:41
And in Visayas and Mindanao,
03:43
if there are thunderstorms, it is still possible to reach up to two and a half meters.
03:47
And for the coming days, we will still have a gale warning
03:50
and high waves in the northern Luzon, because of the rain.
03:56
And for our today's weather forecast,
03:59
or until the end of 2024,
04:01
we will still have a cold here in the northern Luzon.
04:05
That is still the effect of the northeast monsoon
04:07
and the rainfalls in the remaining part of our country.
04:10
Here in the northern and central Luzon,
04:13
expect light to moderate rains,
04:15
especially in the areas of Cagayan, Batanes, Apayao, and Isabela.
04:19
That is the end of the northeast monsoon.
04:21
While we still have moderate to intense rains in many areas of our country,
04:26
that is still because of the shear line in the intertropical convergence zone.
04:29
And it is possible to reach up to 200 millimeters,
04:33
or heavy to intense, equivalent to the amount of rain,
04:36
here in Cagayan, Itz, and Isabela.
04:39
And expect moderate to heavy rains here in Apayao,
04:43
Pababa ng Kalinga, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte,
04:47
as well as Marinduque and Oriental Mindoro,
04:50
along the shear line or the coast of Malamig na Amihan and Mainit na Easterlys.
04:54
Here in Ibaba, expect 50 to 100 millimeters of rain by tomorrow
04:59
in Palawan, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands,
05:04
Surigao del Norte, up to here in Zamboanga del Norte.
05:07
That is still the effect of the intertropical convergence zone.
05:10
So, be careful of possible floods, especially in low-lying areas,
05:14
and landslides because it has been raining for several days
05:17
in mountainous areas and those near rivers.
05:22
When the last two days of 2024 comes,
05:25
we can still expect rains.
05:27
We will still experience moderate to heavy rains in Cagayan Valley,
05:31
Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque
05:36
because of the effect of the shear line.
05:38
And we still have scattered rains and thunderstorms
05:41
in a large part of Mindanao and Eastern Visayas.
05:44
It is not continuous, but sometimes it is strong.
05:47
So, be careful of floods and landslides.
05:50
And we still have a chance of light rains
05:53
or moderate to heavy rains in the remaining parts of Northern and Central Luzon
05:57
because of the cold Northeast monsoon.
06:00
And the remaining parts of the country, aside from Metro Manila,
06:02
are steadily part of the clouds,
06:04
until the sky is still cloudy, accompanied by heavy rains
06:07
or landslides.
