At the moment, the effect of the north-east monsoon is slightly weakening
00:05
and because of that, the rainfall of the shearline has decreased.
00:10
The shearline is not affecting any part of our country,
00:14
but if we look at our latest satellite animation,
00:17
we have clusters of clouds that are affecting the southern part of our country.
00:23
That is the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ.
00:27
Just like the ITCZ, we will experience a rainy season in a large part of Mindanao and Palawan.
00:34
Meanwhile, although the shearline is not affecting any part of our country at the moment,
00:39
the light to moderate rainfall of the north-east monsoon
00:44
will continue in the eastern sections of the northern zone.
00:48
In most parts of our country, only isolated thunderstorms are possible.
00:53
These are the occasional or sudden raindrops that we usually experience in the afternoon or at night.
01:00
At the moment, we are not monitoring any low-pressure areas or storms
01:04
inside and outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:07
We are also not expecting any LPA or storm that could possibly affect any part of our country in the coming days.
01:15
However, starting tomorrow, the effects of the wind will gradually increase
01:20
and as a result, the effect of the shearline will gradually be felt,
01:25
especially in the northern part of our country until the upcoming weekend.
01:30
For the areas of Mindanao, Palawan, and some parts of Visayas,
01:36
it is possible for a rainy season to occur.
01:38
This is the Intertropical Convergence Zone until the upcoming Sunday.
01:44
We already know what the weather conditions will be like here in Luzon.
01:48
Due to the continuous influx of strong winds,
01:51
we still expect cloudy skies and light to moderate rainfall
01:55
in the Cagayan Valley and in the Cordillera Administrative Region.
02:00
Meanwhile, here in the Ilocos Region,
02:02
fair weather or generally fair weather conditions are possible
02:05
except for the occasional weak rains or storms.
02:10
In the Luzon, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Calabar Zone,
02:15
Mimaropa, and Bicol Region,
02:17
we expect improved weather conditions
02:20
except for occasional heavy rains and localized thunderstorms.
02:26
So, let's monitor the thunderstorm advisory issued by our regional services division.
02:33
Similar to the temperature forecast,
02:36
here in Luzon, the temperature will increase from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:42
29 degrees Celsius is the maximum temperature here in Taguigarao.
02:46
In Baguio, 17 to 24 degrees Celsius, 23 to 31 for Metro Manila,
02:52
and 31 degrees Celsius is the maximum temperature for Legazpi City.
02:57
Here in Tagaytay, the temperature will increase from 22 to 29 degrees Celsius.
03:04
The weather conditions will change for the rest of the country
03:08
here in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
03:10
Similar to what we saw in our latest satellite animation earlier,
03:14
due to the effects of the Entry Tropical Convergence Zone,
03:17
we expect gloomy weather conditions throughout Mindanao
03:21
and also in some parts of Palawan.
03:25
So, moderate to heavy rains are possible,
03:27
especially in the eastern section of Mindanao,
03:30
in the Caraga and Davao region areas.
03:33
Heavy rains are possible.
03:36
So, double caution to our countrymen,
03:38
due to possible floods and landslides.
03:43
Meanwhile, in the future, here in Visayas,
03:46
we will experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions
03:50
and there are also possibilities of isolated thunderstorms
03:53
or quick rains, usually experienced in the afternoon or evening.
03:59
As for the temperature forecast for the surrounding cities,
04:02
in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
04:04
we expect a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius
04:07
here in Puerto Princesa and Kalayaan Islands.
04:11
As well as the surrounding cities,
04:13
here in Visayas, Iloilo, Cebu, and Tacloban,
04:16
we expect a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius.
04:21
The temperature in Cagayan de Oro will increase from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius
04:26
and maximum temperatures for Zamboanga and here in Metro Davao will reach 31 degrees Celsius.
04:36
As for the situation of our ocean,
04:38
we do not have any gale warnings for high waves,
04:42
but we still have to be careful of the plans to spread to the coastal areas of northern Luzon
04:47
because we expect the ocean to be flooded.
04:50
And as for the moderate to rough sea conditions
04:52
for the coastal areas of Luzon and the eastern seaboards of our country.
