00:00Doubleheader of NFL action to kick off the weekend in week number 16 on Saturday in Arrowhead.

00:12It was the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes making a start despite just six days earlier suffering

00:19what appeared to be a significant high right ankle sprain.

00:23He practiced all week.

00:25He was set to start.

00:26He did and he led Kansas City to a big victory at home 27 to 19 over the Houston Texans.

00:41You were skeptical of the high right ankle sprain to Patrick Mahomes.

00:46By the time we got deeper into the week, not even with the idea that, oh, hopefully based

00:51on rehab, my homes would be ready to give it a shot on Saturday and pregame warmups

00:55and see if he could go.

00:57He was a full participant all week at practice, normally even a minor ankle sprain, not a

01:05mild high ankle sprain.

01:07You should sit on your touch for a couple of days and rest those feet.

01:12Not my homes, not on Saturday, had 33 yards on the ground and the Chiefs win a huge game

01:18to put them just one victory away from claiming the AFC is number one overall seed once again.

01:25Yeah, it was running right away in this football game, a 15 yard, I think it was a 15 yard

01:29touchdown run that he had.

01:30So at five carries for 33 yards and on a bad ankle, he threw 41 times and the bend not

01:35out of necessity.

01:36It wasn't like, Hey man, we were down two touchdowns the whole game.

01:38I had no choice but to fight through it and throw the football like though that was their

01:41game plan here.

01:42So apparently he wasn't really injured at all is how I'm going to play it because he

01:46played Saturday on a short week and then he's going to get even shorter week and he's going

01:49to play on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers in cold environments.

01:52It's going to be hard to wake that ankle up and anytime you get any Knicks bumps or

01:55bruises and cold, it magnifies it.

01:57He was just fine in that game.

01:58And so were the Kansas City Chiefs who now sit at 14 and one and the key here, Ben eight

02:02and oh at home, which is where they're going to be for the holidays and throughout that

02:06run.

02:07So get ready again as we love on, you know, radio row and press row and just doing shows

02:10where every single year we used to talk about the Patriots and how boring it was that they

02:14got back to the Superbowl.

02:16The Chiefs once again this year, we'll be back into the Superbowl and how about Hollywood

02:19Brown coming back.

02:21First game that he's played this season, five catches for 45 yards, eight targets as long

02:25catch of a 20 adds to that wide receiver room, which now has steady veterans speed to get

02:31downfield.

02:32If Kelsey can wake up from his non-wise self, like he did in the playoffs this year.

02:36Now we've got a formidable offense and who cares if those left or right tackles even

02:39healthy because Patrick Holmes will make plays no matter what, but also understand this.

02:44You've gotten a lot of good breaks for the Kansas City Chiefs all season long with crazy

02:47plays and crazy scenarios, which included and Doc's going to come on later tanked out

02:52six catches for 98 yards and a touchdown.

02:54He basically caught the game time touchdown, then ice the kicker because he was injured

02:59and missed the extra point.

03:00But also tank Dell was a menace in that game.

03:03Who knows what he would have finished with.

03:04He goes down injured momentum flicks back to Kansas City and they win that ballgame

03:08going away.

03:09They're just living the charmed life right now, being very good at what they do and getting

03:13every break possible, which is why they're 14 and one.
