And you could argue the best game on the board is in the NFC East.
00:04
It's the Washington Commanders at home against the Philadelphia Eagles.
00:08
Number moving a little bit towards Philly here.
00:10
Three and a half are turning into fours
00:13
and some four and a half out there as well.
00:17
People are realizing what I think at this point is
00:20
is actually really difficult to argue.
00:22
The Eagles are the best team in the NFL.
00:24
They are.
00:24
They've won 10 straight by 13 and a half points per game,
00:27
and they dominated the better competition like Baltimore and last week against Pittsburgh.
00:31
It was close in the second quarter, right, when they they pulled by seven points.
00:36
Second half, they go on a 10 minute drive in the fourth quarter.
00:39
Allow Pittsburgh only two second half possessions to dominate that game.
00:43
That defense has stepped up time and time again.
00:46
That was the early question mark in the first four games of the regular season.
00:50
Not anymore.
00:51
And we saw them take care of business against Jaden Daniels on that Thursday night.
00:55
Even though Jaden Daniels in Washington is nine and five overall,
00:59
last week they struggled with a mediocre New Orleans team, winning 20 to 19.
01:03
They're going to need a monumental effort out of Jaden Daniels today.
01:06
Last week he threw for 226 and rushed for 66 yards.
01:11
I think that number needs to be in the area of 250, 275 today
01:16
with the rushing yardage as well.
01:18
We'll see if he could do it.
01:19
I still would take the points just because of the home dog.
01:22
But my best bet, Donny, is the over 46 and a half today.
01:25
Yeah, and it's going to be booed by the Philadelphia Eagles
01:27
because you want to always like to use the terms running mate at this point.
01:29
Both of these offenses are capable of scoring points.
01:31
But you do have to look at the commanders.
01:33
Even the last five games.
01:34
Yes, it's nice to have back to back wins against Tennessee.
01:36
Atrocious against New Orleans.
01:38
Atrocious.
01:39
And look at the three previous games before that.
01:41
Lost to the Cowboys, lost to the Eagles and lost to the Steelers.
01:44
But granted, this is a good football team.
01:45
Washington is going to make the playoffs.
01:47
But I tend to agree with the line movement.
01:49
If you're saying it's around three all week long,
01:51
now we're getting the game day at four and a half.
01:52
Because as Kevin's point is, the Eagles are the most well-rounded team in the NFL.
01:55
It's like, oh, their offensive line.
01:57
No, their offensive line is good.
01:58
Their defensive line is good.
01:59
Their linebackers are good.
01:59
Their secondary is good.
02:00
Their quarterback's good.
02:01
You see what I mean?
02:02
There's no weak points here.
02:03
And also now you're getting coaching from Vic Fangio.
02:05
We're in the past where he was like, oh, it's going to be a tough game.
02:07
It's a mobile quarterback.
02:08
They got good wide receivers.
02:10
Show me this.
02:10
Every single week over the past, I would say five to six weeks, Kevin,
02:14
the number one defense in the NFL.
02:16
Now they're widening that margin as we get later in December.
02:19
So you look at the Washington squad and say to yourself, OK,
02:22
how is their attack point going to be?
02:23
Well, Terry McLaurin's a great wide receiver.
02:24
Shut down completely last time they played.
02:27
So who's going to be that guy that steps up?
02:29
And it's not just going to be Brian Robinson running up the middle and saying,
02:32
hey, I'm going to three and a half carries.
02:34
You're going to have big plays against the Eagles who don't give up big plays.
02:37
No, it's it's really tough for Washington.
02:39
Yeah. Right.
02:40
And to make this clear on Philadelphia status,
02:44
take the big four, which would be Philly, Detroit, Buffalo, Kansas City.
02:49
You could break it down any way you want. Right.
02:52
Of one through four offense, defense, coaching staff.
02:57
Or you want to go specifics, quarterbacks, defensive line.
03:01
There is not a single one where out of those four, they rank last.
03:04
Not a single one.
03:05
And they're the only team that that is true of
03:07
because they don't have the worst quarterback.
03:09
I'm not going to listen to that.
03:10
I'm not going to listen to the world where Jared Goff is better than Jalen Hurts.
03:14
It's not going to happen.
03:15
They're the best defense by a country mile.
03:17
And they have a megastar superstar running back in Saquon Barkley
03:20
who will step up in this game. We know that.
03:24
But also, I'm the most unbiased man in the history of sports media.
03:27
That requires me to do what I got to do,
03:30
which is why I love the commander's team total over 20 and a half in this game.
03:34
Washington has only missed that three times this year.
03:37
Never in back to back games.
03:39
They've scored 21 plus in six of seven home games.
03:42
They average just under 30 points per game at home this season.
03:46
Philadelphia, again, the absolute best defense in this league.
03:50
Giving up 20, though 21 points to a great offense is nothing
03:54
to hang your head about here.
03:56
I think this is going to be an explosive game.
03:59
If Philly scores 28, I like my bet even more.
04:03
That's a running mate.
04:04
This to me is a spot where Jaden Daniels
04:07
cannot play as bad as he did in that opening game.
04:11
I think that he has a lot more to improve on and fill these defense
04:15
from that matchup.
04:16
And Daniels, perhaps still nursing the ribs, hardly ran in that matchup.
04:20
So Philly didn't get to diagnose what that looks like as much
04:25
an added element to help Washington's offense here.
04:28
And remember the last time they played, you and I spoke and you thought
04:31
that Kingsbury called a very conservative game plan, especially in the first half.
04:35
They didn't allow Jaden Daniels to attack over the top.
04:38
So I think it's different today.
04:40
You can't just run Brian Robinson into the front seven.
04:43
You're going to get shut down.
04:44
You're going to be put into predictable third downs.
04:47
And that's a recipe for disaster for that front seven.
04:50
What you want to do is be more aggressive on first and second downs.
04:53
Move the football.
04:54
You can once you get inside the red zone, then you can utilize the rushing attack.
04:58
And if you build the lead.
04:59
But that's easier said than done.
05:01
Love the commander's total.
05:02
But I love the points as well.
05:04
And it's real quick when Brian Robinson, Jr.
05:06
on that fifty five and a half number, he's got to get that.
05:08
If the Washington wants to be competitive in this game,
05:10
you cannot be one dimensional against the Eagles keeping on him today.
