00:07thursday night football game on a short week in a row a second consecutive incredibly impactful

00:14impactful divisional duel it's the eagles and the commanders for the top spot in the nfc east

00:21on thursday as it stands right now philadelphia is seven and two the commanders after their loss

00:28on sunday by only a single point at home to pittsburgh seven and three philly has moved in

00:34front in the nfc east they're greater than a two dollar favorite to claim the divisional crown for

00:39a second time in the last three years that three is no longer at on the hook it's three and a half

00:46in favor of philadelphia over under joe for a short week thursday night game stands at 49

00:53and a half what a way to start week number 11 what do you expect

01:00i don't expect 49 and a half points i'll tell you that uh i think you're out of your mind i

01:04think this is way too high given how philadelphia is going to like to play this game philadelphia

01:13is not going to want to get into some crazy shootout offensively not to mention that i don't

01:18think it's going to happen don't forget i love the over in washington pittsburgh because i thought

01:23pittsburgh defensively had kind of caked walk through the season with the offenses they faced

01:29and i thought washington would be the first real test and washington won early in that test in the

01:35game but you know what adjustments in the second half that washington offense didn't look anything

01:40like it looked in the first half so i do think that this philadelphia defense riding high right

01:46now is going to cause misery for this washington offense on a short week and oh yeah you know

01:53philadelphia they're going to dare washington to stop them on the ground i don't think washington

01:57will stop them on the ground i would anticipate a lot of time of possession and running in this

02:02game for philadelphia i don't see how we're getting over 49 and a half points last week we had that

02:08short week divisional duel between the bangles and the ravens with a very lofty short week total

02:14the first and nearly three nfl seasons that was north of 50 52 and a half and again that

02:19stood no chance 35 34 the ravens winning that game of course and joe it makes sense right to

02:26see 49 and a half you can understand the thought behind that number washington over in seven of

02:3210 games philadelphia has been great offensively as of late 34 on the road against dallas 28 the

02:39week prior at home against jacksonville 37 the week before that on the road in cincinnati again

02:45all of those things track but to your point joe philadelphia the reason we believe them to be

02:53a true contender once again as we might have anticipated entering the year is because of that

03:00defense we've said it a few times five game win streak for the birds covering in three of the

03:05four only twice though as a favorite short favorite against the giants a couple of weeks back

03:12and then of course last week against the short-handed cowboys both of those games well

03:18under because the eagles defense allowed a total of nine points now i don't think they're keeping

03:23washington to single digits necessarily but 49 and a half is a lot for a short week thursday

03:29night football game if this was sunday if it was in washington maybe it's a different story

03:34but it's short week for a young commander's team still traveling but i do want to give washington

03:40its credit joe because they haven't been an underdog weirdly since week number six they've

03:44been favored in four consecutive games how quickly the odds makers can change their tune

03:49on a rookie quarterback under a first year head coach in this city and organization they were an

03:55underdog four times in their first six games of the year sure just two and two against the spread

04:01and also straight up but in their two non-covers season and career debut for jayden daniels on the

04:09road in tampa against at that time a good bucks team and joe they technically did not cover in

04:15week number six against the ravens in baltimore taking on baltimore when they were a six and a

04:21half point underdog at close and they lost that game by a touchdown but they were highly competitive

04:27i don't think this is a blowout but just with it being a short week thursday night game

04:33and washington has to travel to philadelphia that's really where i give the eagles the edge

04:39yeah and don't forget marshawn latimore should be in the mix this week in the secondary for

04:45washington as well so i i think this is going to come down to i think brian robinson jr should be

04:51back uh i think this is going to be much more defense oriented this game here and nobody knows

04:58syriani in philadelphia better than dan quinn do they ben am i missing something here since

05:04his defenses in dallas had to go up to him twice a year every year so he knows syriani he knows

05:11hurts he knows this offense including saquon barkley so i do think uh this is going to be

05:18much more of a defense oriented game and who can establish the run in time of possession i think is

05:24ultimately who's going to win this game and i do think washington has a good shot of pulling the upset
