00:06defendant in the civil lawsuit, allegedly along with Sean Diddy Combs, at an MTV Video

00:11Music Awards afterparty back in 2000, according to a civil lawsuit filed in federal court

00:17on Sunday.

00:18Lawyer for the plaintiff Tony Busby alleges that after the alleged victim was driven to

00:22the afterparty and forced to sign a nondisclosure agreement, she was given a drink that made

00:26her feel woozy and lightheaded.

00:28When she went into a bedroom to lie down, Busby claimed she was assaulted by the two

00:32stars while a third female celebrity looked on.

00:35The music icon has strongly denied the allegations against him, calling the lawsuit a blackmail

00:39attempt aimed at securing a settlement.

00:42He called Busby a fraud, a deplorable human, and an ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.

00:47Jay released a statement Sunday evening addressing the lawsuit.

01:27Attorney of the Plaintiff Tony Busby took to X to respond to Jay-Z's statement.

01:32What he fails to say in his recent statement is my firm sent his lawyer a demand letter

01:36on behalf of an alleged victim, and that victim never demanded a penny from him.

01:41Instead, she only sought a confidential mediation.

01:44Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he's tried

01:48to bully and harass me and this plaintiff.

01:51Jay-Z has not issued a response to Tony's tweet at the time of recording this story.
