00:00Government evacuation operations are underway as 15 barangays are affected by the eruption of the Canlaon volcano this afternoon.

00:09The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, or PHIVOX, warned the event might cause potential lahar and further eruptions.

00:16In the meantime, Canlaon City Mayor Jose Cardenas of Negros Occidental confirmed the conduct of evacuations in their area.

00:24While the Department of Social Welfare...

00:31...as the non-food items for distribution.

00:34For its part, the Department of Health or DOH advised the public on the potential health risks it might cause,

00:39while also ordering its regional offices to be on white-code status as a response to the situation.

01:01At the moment, all the regional offices of the Department of Health are on white-code status,

01:06especially those located around our volcano, Canlaon.

01:09The reason for this is, first, all the health emergency response teams near Canlaon are on alert

01:16and are monitoring the movements of the people needed in the evacuation centers.
