00:00Britishers in Tondo, Manila were happy to receive help from the DSWD's No Hunger 2027 Food Stamp Program

00:11which is in accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to address malnutrition in the country.

00:18This is the story of Bernard Ferrer.

00:21Apolonia and her three children are living in the same house.

00:26She admitted that she doesn't earn enough as a driver and a tricycle driver for their food.

00:33Her husband, who has diabetes, has to undergo maintenance medicine.

00:37So she was happy to be one of the 1,350 beneficiaries of the DSWD's No Hunger Program in Tondo, Manila.

00:48This program is a huge help. We always have rice, we always have food.

00:56It is important for Apolonia to feed her six grandchildren, especially one of them, who is malnourished.

01:03Today, beneficiaries will receive P6,000 of food credits in the month of November and December.

01:12This is what they will use to buy food from three groups of food that contain 50% carbohydrates, 30% protein, and 20% fiber.

01:23According to the DSWD, more than 259,000 low-income households benefit from their No Hunger Program.

01:31This will reach 300,000 target beneficiaries before the end of 2024.

01:36The program has already reached 22 provinces in 10 regions of the country.

01:41The goal of the program is to provide food to 1 million food-poor families by the end of 2027.

01:47The Food Stamp Program is one of the priority programs of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.
