Two people have been arrested and extradited from Western Australia to New South Wales following an alleged kidnapping and shooting at Bago. Mid North Coast Police Detective Inspector Peter O'Reilly said police are seeking a third person.

00:00I'm sure he's been sick many times.

00:04I just can't remember the time when he made the first call.

00:08So about 7am on Sunday

00:1217th of November, emergency services were called to

00:16Rollover Road at Bago. A 32 year old male was located

00:20at the location. He was naked and bleeding.

00:24Ambulance conveyed him to Port Macquarie Hospital. He was in a serious condition at the time.

00:28It was apparent that he'd been shot a number of occasions.

00:32Crime scenes were located nearby and

00:36process and Strike Force Parham was established by Mid North Coast

00:40Police District Detectives.

00:44On Wednesday evening, with great assistance from the West Australian Police

00:48a vehicle was stopped at a Baradonia south of

00:52Kalgoorlie. A 25 year old male and a 38 year old female

00:56were arrested. Located in the vehicle they were in was a loaded

01:00sawn off rifle. Those people have been

01:04now extradited by detectives from Perth back to New South Wales.

01:08The female appeared before the court at the Downing Centre yesterday and she's now

01:12remanded to Port Macquarie local court. The male will appear before the

01:16Downing Centre local court today.

01:20It was a trail runner who was out on a Sunday morning, a quiet Sunday morning jog that

01:24came across this male. When police arrived the male was

01:28being treated and put into the ambulance. Was the victim known to

01:32police at all? The person is somebody that

01:36we do know of and the circumstances

01:40around him were explored. It was apparent that

01:44he was kidnapped from a residence in Port Macquarie and

01:48taken to this location out at Vago where he was shot and left.

01:52Do we have any information about the connection between the people who

01:56were arrested and the male that was shot? They are certainly known to each other.

02:00Do we know yet what the motivation behind the kidnapping was? No.

02:04At this stage we are seeking

02:08a 27 year old female who was also involved

02:12in this offence. Walk us through the investigation into finding those two that have been

02:16charged so far. What led you guys to seek out WA? Oh I can't go

02:20into too much but what I can say is that some great work

02:24by our local detectives and we were

02:28able to locate those people in Western Australia so our assistance

02:32that we received from the West Australian Police was

02:36outstanding. Do we know yet why these people are out in WA

02:40on the other side of the country? No.

02:44Only other thing, the condition of the man who was shot, has he

02:48recovered? He remains in hospital but he's in a stable condition.

02:52Have you spoken to him? He must have been pretty traumatised by the incident.

02:56How's he kind of doing? Look I haven't spoken to him personally but yes he has

03:00been spoken to by detectives. And is there anything else around

03:04you mentioned he was found injured and naked, does it appear

03:08he's just been shot and left or have you got any other information about that?

03:12That was apparent in the scene that he'd been shot and left

03:16by the offenders and it was a short distance away where police were able

03:20to locate two scenes of interest and there was some evidence

03:24at the location which corroborated the fact that he had been shot.
