00:00September this year, the Strike Force League was established to investigate the supply

00:04of privileged drug in the Illawarra area. The investigation focused on the suburbs of Berkeley,

00:09Warrawong and Port Kemwa. As a result of this, last week several search warrants were executed

00:15and FPO were executed on premises around Illawarra, resulting in the arrest of 21 individuals for 95

00:24offences involving the supply of privileged drug and privileged illicit tobacco.

00:35Some of those offences involved the supply and ongoing supply of privileged drugs and in

00:39we allege commercial quantities of privileged drugs. The investigation also uncovered

00:47the distribution supply, illegal supply of tobacco and that led the investigations to

00:52do a search warrant on a shop in Warrawong, where we recovered quantities of tobacco with

00:58a street value or estimated value of $180,000. The search warrants uncovered a range of items

01:06including methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, tasers and a lot of illegal tobacco that was

01:16contained. There is more arrests to come and it's only a matter of time before those people

01:23end up in our police stations and we sort of urge anyone involved in that sort of activity

01:28to consider the implications not only for themselves but the community

01:32and realise it's only a matter of time before we come knocking on their door.
