00:05The continuous thawing of the North-East Monsoon or AMIHAN

00:08still brings a part of the low temperature

00:11but only in the extreme Northern Luzon

00:13which is also accompanied by sudden rains.

00:16While here in the remaining part of the country,

00:18there is still a hot and humid weather

00:21because of the Easter Leaves or the wind from the Pacific Ocean

00:24which is also accompanied by sudden rains and thunderstorms

00:28just like here in Western Mindanao and Eastern Visayas.

00:32Aside from the cloud that we can see here in our latest satellite animation,

00:36we can't see any new cloud clusters

00:39that could be a low-pressure area or typhoon

00:41until the weekend ends.

00:45Today, the weather is still gloomy

00:47in Batanes and Baboyan Islands.

00:49It will also be accompanied by mild to moderate rains

00:52and isolated thunderstorms.

00:54This is the effect of AMIHAN or North-East Monsoon.

00:57So, make sure that we have an umbrella.

00:59While in the remaining part of the Luzon, including Metro Manila,

01:02there are still weather conditions like yesterday.

01:05It is usually sunny in the morning until the afternoon

01:08but it will be cloudy in the afternoon until the evening.

01:10The sky is partly cloudy

01:12especially in the Eastern sections of the Luzon

01:14which are accompanied by heavy rains or thunderstorms.

01:19Our temperature in Metro Manila and the nearby areas in Central Luzon and Calabarzon

01:23will be hot in the afternoon until 34 degrees Celsius

01:26while in Baguio, it will remain cold until 25 degrees Celsius.

01:32For our countrymen in the majority of Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao,

01:36it is still partly cloudy until the sky is partly cloudy.

01:39In the morning, there is a chance of rain

01:41in the parts of Zamboanga del Sur, Basilan

01:44and in the majority of Eastern Visayas.

01:46It won't last long.

01:48In the remaining part of Visayas and Mindanao,

01:51it is still partly cloudy until the afternoon

01:54and there are areas where there is a low chance of rain

01:57if there are isolated or localized thunderstorms.

02:01In Palawan, the maximum temperature is expected to be 33 degrees Celsius.

02:05In Metro Cebu and Metro Davao, it will be up to 32 degrees Celsius

02:08in the afternoon while it is still the hottest in Zamboanga City

02:12up to 34 degrees Celsius.

02:14So make sure that we are hydrated

02:16and bring an umbrella in the heat of the day.

02:19For now, we do not have a high Gale Warning

02:22or a warning for high waves

02:24but the waves are still reaching more than 3 meters

02:27in a large part of Northern Luzon

02:29because it is still in the Northeast Monsoon or AMIHAN.

02:32In the remaining towns of our country,

02:34Southern Luzon down to Mindanao,

02:36the waves are half a meter to one meter high

02:38in a large part of the ocean

02:40but it is still possible to reach two and a half meters

02:42if we have thunderstorms.

02:44And possible tomorrow, we will have a Gale Warning

02:47in extreme Northern Luzon.

02:50For our 3-day weather forecast,

02:52from Friday to the weekend,

02:54expect cloudy skies in more areas of Northern Luzon

02:58because of the shear line.

03:00This is the line where the cold AMIHAN

03:03and the hot Easter Leaves meet.

03:05As a result, there will be clouds

03:07and sometimes heavy rains and thunderstorms

03:10in Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayaw

03:13and nearby areas in Northern Luzon.

03:16So make sure that we have an umbrella

03:18while here in a large part of Palawan,

03:20Eastern Visayas and Mindanao,

03:22we sometimes have heavy rains

03:24but it is not continuous.

03:25It is the effect of the ITCZ

03:27or Intertropical Convergence Zone.

03:29This is where the wind blows

03:31from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

03:33This is a precursor of the ITCZ

03:35that we can see in the east of Mindanao.

03:38So be careful of floods and landslides.

03:40While in the remaining parts of the country,

03:42we still have parts that are cloudy

03:44and often hot afternoons

03:46that are accompanied by heavy rains

03:48and landslides.

03:50The sun will rise at 6 AM

03:53and set at 5.24 PM.
