00:00Did you know that you can generate electricity for your own use while getting a bill?

00:05For that purpose, you can join the clean energy circulation scheme introduced by the government since 2021.

00:13How? You can install a photovoltaic solar system on the roof of your house or building to generate energy for your own use.

00:21If there is an excess that is not used, you can send the energy to the TNB grid.

00:27In addition, you are also eligible to receive credit for the energy sent to the TNB grid.

00:33The credit will be used to balance your bill amount based on 1 on 1 offset.

00:39This means that every 1 kilowatt per hour exported to the grid will be balanced with 1 kilowatt per hour

00:46used from the grid based on the interest rate.

00:50NEM was introduced by the government in December 2021 and 1,600 megawatts were allocated for 3 categories.

00:58NEM Rayan for residency is 400 megawatts, NEM Gomen for government buildings is 100 megawatts

01:05and NEM Nova is 1,100 megawatts for commercial and industrial real estate.

01:10The Ministry of Energy Transformation and Water Transformation also implements the

01:15Solar for Raya Incentive Scheme to prevent the installation of PV solar systems by domestic users.

01:22This scheme offers a maximum interest rate of RM4,000 to those who are eligible.

01:27This incentive scheme is open until 31 March 2025 or until all solar interest rates are exhausted.

01:34Domestic users who want to apply for a solar program must have a TNB account holder

01:40and have never participated in a photovoltaic installation program.

01:44Participants in the NEM program have the opportunity to enjoy an electric bill reduction of up to 80%,

01:49a capital return of between 4 to 6 years and a solar system that can last for 25 years.

01:56But before that, you need to consider the size of the solar system,

02:00the number of electric needs and the type of system you want to install.

02:06Applications can be made through the E-NEM system at www.seda.gov.my

02:13and applications for a robot under the Solaris Incentive will be processed by TNB
