00:00The merger of Malaysian users forces the government to prioritize financial literacy programs

00:07to ensure that recipients use financial assistance effectively.

00:12Executive Director Fomka T. Saravanan said that many Malaysians misunderstand

00:17the purpose of the government aid program as a long-term right

00:22and not just a temporary financial support.

00:25To address this issue, it has not yet proposed that financial education

00:29be included in school curricula and set up a special workshop for employees

00:35to cultivate a more responsible financial management.

00:39According to him, the government needs to introduce skills and employment enhancement programs

00:45to help people acquire new skills, as well as improve income

00:50and reduce dependence on financial assistance.

00:54The head of the Malaysian economic bank, Afzal Nizam Abdul Rashid, also argued

00:59that financial assistance must function as a milestone for recipients to achieve financial freedom.

01:05Meanwhile, the second finance minister, Amir Hamzah Azizat, recently announced

01:10that the number of recipients of Rahmah's fund will increase sevenfold

01:15to 5.4 million people by April.

01:19This figure includes 4.7 million recipients available for Rahmah's funds

01:25which will be automatically registered as beneficiaries.
