00:00Welcome to Ballynear Primary School. We'd like to invite you into our school to show
00:08you all the amazing things that happen here.
00:18My name is Chris Trussell. It is with great pride that I introduce myself as Principal
00:23of Ballynear Primary School. Being nearly 100 years old, our school is steeped in history
00:28and tradition. We sit nestled in the vibrant community of Ballynear and we would love to
00:34welcome you into our school to have a look around and see for yourself all the wonderful
00:38things that are happening here.
00:43This is Ballynear Playgroup with our P1s that we invite to our school so they get to know
00:49the place before they come and P1.
00:55So Jess, what are your favourite things about Ballynear Primary School?
00:58I love doing art and how all the work is really creative.
01:03So Spencer, if your friend was wanting to come to this school, what would you tell them
01:07to want to come even more?
01:09We got a lot of playground equipment. It's very fun for break and lunch time and it's
01:15a good place to be when you're outside.
01:18So Anna, what are your favourite things about Ballynear Primary School?
01:22I love the golden time because the teachers are really nice and they let us do it at the
01:25end of the week on a Friday.
01:27So Rosa, you've only joined Ballynear this year, so how have you found it?
01:31I felt really welcomed and I love all the maths because there's so many challenges and
01:36I love the sports in the school as well.
01:40So Paddy, what are your favourite things about Ballynear Primary School?
01:43I love PE because I enjoy exercise and the teachers make it really fun.
01:49So Cassie, if your friend was wanting to come to this school, what would you tell them
01:53to want to come even more?
01:54I would say the principal is a very nice man and he got us some new equipment and our staff
02:02is very nice and I think all the children are very fun and they're very friendly.
02:08So Mrs McLean, what's your favourite thing about teaching in Ballynear Primary School?
02:12My favourite thing about teaching in Ballynear Primary School has to be the children. They
02:17are amazing, very talented, very intelligent and have wonderful manners.
02:23So Yasmin, you've just only recently joined us, so how has it felt?
02:27Well Mrs Galashian made me feel really welcome and all the pupils did too. We've looked at
02:32fun activities and stuff.
02:34So Mrs Livings, what's your favourite thing about P7?
02:37My favourite thing about teaching P7 is all the things that can happen outside the classroom
02:41at the end of the year. For example, the residential, all our sporting trips and our
02:46leavers assembly and things like that.
