00:44I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to all Filipinos affected by Hurricane Christine.

00:56We celebrate this day as National Day of Mourning under Proclamation No. 728.

01:05We know that it is not easy to overcome the pain that you are going through,

01:10but we hope that with the support that we give you today, you will be able to start again.

01:17From the President's office, we will receive P60 million of assistance that will be distributed by the DSWD

01:26so that the municipalities of Batangas and Talisay will be affected by Hurricane Christine.

01:49Our goal is to prevent the loss of life due to calamity.

01:55It is true that today's typhoons are stronger.

02:09First, I ordered the DSWD to improve their warning system

02:22I also ordered the DOSD and DILG to ensure proper communication with local governments

02:31so that they are prepared when calamity strikes.

02:36The DILG's Operation Listo program continues.

02:42The goal is to strengthen the disaster preparedness of our LGUs

02:52To prevent flooding, especially in low-lying areas,

02:58we ordered the NIA, DOE, DNR, and MWSS to gradually reduce water from our dams
