00:00To our fellow countrymen who are affected by the eruption of Canlaon,

00:04your government is here, ready to help you.

00:08No matter how strong the volcano's eruption is,

00:12we will continue to be vigilant.

00:15The government is committed to fighting the effects of the eruption of Canlaon.

00:21The agencies and LGUs are working together to ensure everyone's safety.

00:29More than 4,000 residents were evacuated from the 6-kilometer-radius danger zone,

00:35while the target was to evacuate a total of 84,000 people.

00:40The DSWD is ensuring that there are enough family food packs,

00:44non-food items, clean water, hygiene kits for evacuation centers.

00:51I have already ordered the Department of Budget and Management

00:54to issue funds for those affected.

00:58The DOH has also issued an alert against diseases such as volcanic ash,

01:04while the NDRMC and the Task Force Canlaon are prepared for whatever may happen.

01:10The long-standing forward-deployed relief items of the DSWD,

01:14such as family food packs and non-food items,

01:18will be distributed to evacuation centers,

01:21including clean water, sleeping and hygiene kits.

01:26I have also placed all units of the AFP, PNP,

01:31and Bureau of Fire Protection in the entire island of Negros on high alert.

01:35They will respond to any challenges that may arise.

01:39The DOH is also preparing to provide services.

01:42From Manila, the airlift of additional medicines is already underway if necessary.

01:48In this calamity, it is possible to get infected with volcanic ash.

01:54Surveillance, monitoring, and reminders by the DOH and the DNR

02:00to all those who may be affected are not allowed.

02:02Before the volcano erupts,

02:05the NDRMC and the Office of Civil Defense are already preparing

02:13Because of this, the Task Force Canlaon has been appointed

02:17to coordinate the correct response based on the strength of the eruption of the volcano
