00:00We have the juvenile fillies turf to discuss and Will is back along with us and uh, Will,

00:09I gotta say, I was so excited to see Lake Victoria show up in this race because I think

00:14with the younger horses, I feel like we usually don't see horses this good show up here.

00:20Usually we will see horses maybe that are really prestigious, that are older, that have

00:24already had some nice accolades that come here, or maybe like some of the B string for

00:28the juvenile races.

00:30This is probably one of the more highly regarded horses I can remember coming out here in a

00:33while.

00:34Exactly.

00:35And we've been talking so far about how open and competitive the races are and maybe here

00:39we've got a race and we may well be very wrong, but it just maybe looks like she's a bit ahead

00:43of the show.

00:44I feel the same way too.

00:45Above this field and I'd be delighted to be proved wrong, but one of the things I look

00:49at is just how comfortably she's won her first two races.

00:53Very tellingly, one of our statistics is how sort of vehemently she hit the line to

00:59run out speed.

01:00I think you guys use it in Breeze Up Land, so what's the speed two seconds after the

01:05finish line?

01:06So are you really powering through your race?

01:09She would rank top on that measure over six furlongs on her first race and then again

01:12over seven furlongs on her second race and now she's going over eight furlongs a mile.

01:16In other words, she's faster than the rest of the field as she goes through that line.

01:20She's crying out for another furlong.

01:22So on top of the fact that she's won comfortably those first two races means that that bodes

01:28well.

01:29And let's face it, Aiden O'Brien, Coolmore, winning a race that's not… we're all thinking

01:34about City of Troy.

01:35This is a story we've heard before, kind of like dominating another race and perhaps the

01:39big guy, he's got a big battle to fight, but he's not brought 25 horses over here not to

01:44have one win a race quite impressively.

01:46Yeah, and this is the one that will probably be the shortest price favorite on Friday and

01:51maybe one of the shorter of the two weekends and I really wouldn't be shocked to see like

01:55a powerful performance from Lake Victoria.

01:58Couple horses to mention outside of Lake Victoria, Nitrogen who flashed some speed in the Natoma

02:03last time out has shown the ability to sit off the pace a little bit.

02:06Coretto was third in the grade too, Miss Grillo.

02:09I think if you're looking for a price play in here, maybe the Forsythian for Bill Mott

02:13whose two grass races are very good and has the type of running style that's really kind

02:19and friendly.

02:20She's very apt to different racing styles and she can always put herself in the race

02:23just sitting a couple lengths out of it.

02:25So maybe a horse here with some value that you can you can use along with Lake Victoria

02:28and a couple others in the exotics, Alexa.

02:32Let's get to all mentioned Totally Justified also who is the runner up in the Jessamine

02:37behind Mayday Ready.

02:38That was a three horse photo, a wicked tight photo right on the wire.

02:42Mayday Ready got the better of Totally Justified there.

02:45That would have been two in a row for Totally Justified.

02:48Now you can take the baton, Alexa.

02:51All right.

02:52Number six is Virgin Colada.

02:53It's interesting.

02:54Chad Brown has won this race six times and no other trainer has won it more than once.

02:57So this really is his wheelhouse.

02:59However, this is his only entrant in it this year.

03:02And you know, I'm not super impressed.

03:05I don't think Virgin Colada is going to have much to say here.

03:09Big closer, but there's just stronger here.

03:11The number seven thought process from Phil D'Amato's barn is the five to two morning

03:15line favorite and currently running races fast enough to win this one undefeated since

03:21switching to the turf has been favored in every turf start and will again likely take

03:26a lot of money this Friday.

03:29And in the grade three surfer girl that she won at Santa Anita, her comment is drew off

03:33and coasted late.

03:34So, you know, I don't think we have seen her ceiling yet and kind of coming on, coming

03:39on thought process.

03:40The data talks quite, quite favorably about thought process in terms of ranking, you know,

03:46second or third across most metrics.

03:48So that's a that's a versatile horse that kind of has pretty long stride, pretty high

03:52stride frequency.

03:53So she's got, you know, capability to to to be in the mix here, definitely at a decent

03:57price.

03:58Absolutely.

03:59Number eight is Heaven's Gate from Aiden O'Brien's barn, a 12 to one morning line.

04:04So a bit longer odds has never gone more than seven furlongs.

04:08Time form figures have improved with the added distance every time one, a group three

04:12last out.

04:14And again, Aiden O'Brien's contenders need to be looked at because he does really well

04:18when he brings them over to the U.S. for the first time.
