00:30In the last session, I spoke about the rights of parents.

00:37Today, I will speak about the rights of children.

00:42The responsibilities of parents are,

00:48first of all, when a child is born,

00:52a call to prayer is given in his ear.

00:55In some Hadith, it is also mentioned that

00:59the Prophet gave a call to prayer in one ear and

01:02said Aqamat in the other.

01:04After that, the second thing,

01:08Tahneeq is the call to prayer in which

01:11the Prophet used to pray for the blessings of the child.

01:14When the child was born,

01:16he used to put dates on his ear and

01:20used to pray for him.

01:23The third thing is that

01:27the name of the child should be good.

01:31It should have good meanings.

01:35And the fourth thing is that

01:38the education and training of the child is important.

01:46And then, Aqeeqah should be done in seven days.

01:54The name of the child should be given

01:57for seven days.

01:58Aqeeqah should be done.

01:59The hair should be cleaned.

02:00There are different narrations of scholars on this.

02:03And then, it is the responsibility of the parents

02:09that his Nikah, marriage, all these things

02:13are included in the responsibility of the parents.

02:16Because when a child is born,

02:21if he already hears the call to prayer,

02:25Allah Akbar,

02:28then he will follow Tauheed.

02:32And he will be safe from many such evil things.

02:38This is why it is important.

02:42It will take a lot of time to explain the rest of the things.

02:46But I want to come to the main point.

02:50The main point is that

02:54education and training.

02:57That is, to give a good education to the child

03:03and at the same time to train him.

03:06Because knowledge and training are two different things.

03:11To gain knowledge or to give knowledge

03:16is a different thing.

03:19But training is a different thing.

03:21If there is no training with knowledge,

03:24then there is no benefit of knowledge.

03:27Training is necessary.

03:29Therefore, it is the most important responsibility of the parents

03:33to train their children in such a way

03:38that they become true followers of the Prophet,

03:43and follow him.

03:46When he is 7 years old,

03:50ask him to pray.

03:54And even if he is scolded a little,

03:57it is okay.

03:58But if he gets used to praying,

04:02then God willing,

04:04he will keep doing it all his life.

04:07This is a big responsibility of the parents.

04:11The training of the mother and the father

04:14plays a very important role.

04:17In what?

04:19In the building of character.

04:22In the building of character,

04:24the training of the mother and the father

04:27plays a very important role.

04:29And there is also society in it.

04:32The parents should keep in mind

04:35that if the friend and the society are good for the child,

04:40then he will go in the right direction.

04:43If the society is wrong,

04:46then he will go in the wrong direction.

04:49This is also a very big responsibility of the parents

04:52to keep an eye on him.

04:55Who does he sit with?

04:58Who does he not sit with?

05:00How are his friends?

05:02This is an order from God

05:06that he should be trained

05:09to take him on the right path.

05:14For this, it is important that

05:17when the child grows up,

05:19a friendly environment should be created.

05:22In Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse number 55,

05:27Allah says that

05:29your Momin and Muslims are friends of Allah and His Messenger.

05:35And then in Surah Tawbah, verse number 71,

05:40Allah says that all Momin and Mominat are friends of each other.

05:45So when the child grows up,

05:48he should be given a friendly environment in that house.

05:53If there is a friendly environment in the house,

05:56friendship with the wife,

05:59friendship with the children,

06:01friendship with the brothers,

06:03then a good society will be created in the house.

06:06A good society will be created in the house.

06:09When that society mixes up with the other society,

06:14then those people will also get better.

06:19So it is important for the father and the mother

06:24to understand the ethics of religion

06:29and all other matters.

06:32Because we are Muslims.

06:34We have to follow the guidelines given by the Prophet.

06:38So we have to bring the children to the same level.

06:42So it is important for the parents

06:46that first of all, if they themselves need reformation,

06:51then they should reform.

06:53Later, they should reform the children as well.

06:55And the father should be an exemplary person in the family.

07:02The mother should be an exemplary person

07:05because the children have to follow them.

07:07When the children are in a healthy society,

07:15then those people have a healthy mind.

07:22They have positive thoughts.

07:25Positive thinking creates a positive society.

07:31And the Prophet established that society in Medina.

07:37And even after 40 years,

07:41that healthy society,

07:43a positive society,

07:45a friendly society,

07:47continued to exist.

07:49When there was a famine in Mecca,

07:54the Prophet sent wheat for the help of the disbelievers.

08:00This is the society of Islam.

08:03When it comes to the rights of the children,

08:07we should make the children a good citizen,

08:10a good human being,

08:12and develop a good society.

08:14If there is a deficiency in us,

08:17a deficiency in the parents,

08:19then we should remove it.

08:21The children will follow me,

08:24they will follow you.

08:26If I do something like this,

08:29and it is in the knowledge of the children,

08:31then I cannot stop them.

08:33For example,

08:36if a person smokes a cigarette,

08:38how can he tell the child not to smoke?

08:41So, when we understand that we are Muslims,

08:48and the work of a Muslim is to establish peace on this earth.

08:53The work of a Muslim is not corruption.

08:57There is no scope for corruption in Islam.

09:00And the biggest corruption is the corruption of intentions,

09:06the corruption of temperament,

09:08the corruption of vision.

09:10All these are the kinds of corruption

09:12on which the angels had said that the earth will be corrupted.

09:17Therefore, for a positive society,

09:20peace is necessary,

09:22reconciliation is necessary,

09:24reformation is necessary.

09:26So, for that, the real education and training of the child,

09:30I am emphasizing that this is a very important work.

09:35And in a society where this work is done,

09:38where there is a building of character,

09:41that people stop lying,

09:44this should be reduced.

09:46Honesty should be established.

09:49In any society,

09:51even if it is a non-Muslim society,

09:53Allah will definitely give respect to that society in this world.

09:58He will definitely give respect to that nation.

10:00In the future, whatever Allah decides about them,

10:03it is about non-Muslims.

10:05But here they have been given respect.

10:08And respect is being given.

10:10The people who are honest,

10:12the people who are honest,

10:14the people who speak the truth,

10:16the people who do not adulterate,

10:18the people who do not steal,

10:20the people who do not mix water in milk,

10:22this should be prepared for the children.

10:26So, Islam is saying that

10:28love, compassion, friendship with children.

10:31Because children are a gift from Allah.

10:37Those who do not have children,

10:39ask them how big a gift these children are.

10:43And children are a gift from Allah.

10:46Therefore, it is important to value them.

10:50So, the respect for parents,

10:53I have said this in the previous statement,

10:55but love, compassion and friendship with children should be maintained.

11:00Where there is a need for double standards,

11:02there is a little permission.

11:04But it should not go beyond a particular limit.

11:06So, pray to Allah,

11:08may Allah enable you to follow what I have said.
