00:25estimates that Southeast Asia needs to increase environmental energy investment

00:32or five-fold increase from the current amount in 2035

00:40The IEA says that increasing energy investment

00:43needs to be combined with a strategy to reduce emissions

00:46from coal-fired power plants,

00:48which are still relatively new in this area.

00:51The fast economic expansion is expected to pose a challenge

00:54to energy sustainability and climate goals.

00:58However, efforts to close coal-fired power plants

01:00in the developing countries market,

01:02which are supported by wealthy countries in the West,
