00:19up short against the Dodgers, but that means a lot of guys who's going to be back and who's

00:25not with that Mets team.

00:28Pete Alonso, one of the guys who is a free agent now that it's over.

00:31You sent me the story that the Yankees would maybe have interest in Alonso.

00:36I don't know if after shelling out a billion dollars for Soto, how much more they'd be

00:41able to do after that, but I guess anything's possible.

00:44Let's hear what Pete's off-season plans are right now with being a free agent.

00:48I mean, honestly, I haven't really thought of anything that far.

00:52I mean, I love this team.

00:53I love this organization.

00:54This fan base has treated, not just myself, but my family so, so well.

02:00His catch in game six, down the first baseline, over his shoulder, on that foul ball.

02:07This guy plays every day, and he is worth the money.

02:13In this day and age, giving that guy $200 million, to me, is not crazy.

02:19Wasn't he already making like $100 million?

02:22How do you not give this guy a raise and keep him?

02:25It makes no sense to me at all that Cohen is that stupid.

02:29I mean, you don't replace guys like this.

02:31He will learn, he'll rue the day that he doesn't re-sign Pete Alonzo.

02:36Pete Alonzo has been one of the best Mets ever.

02:41I mean, let's just face facts.

02:44This guy can flat out hit, and he can play.

02:47He's good at first base, and he comes up big in the postseason.

02:51You have a loaded team.

02:54When you spend the money that this guy spends, they are a loaded team with talent,

02:58and the Mets should be a playoff team every year, a wild card at worst.

03:02They should.

03:03I got to tell, maybe things have changed now.

03:06I mean, we had that moment a couple of months ago, where it seemed like,

03:08for whatever reason, they didn't want him back, like it felt like.

03:13Like, that's the way it felt.

03:15And I think it's a mistake as well.

03:17And I don't know how much this run changes that.

03:21We'll see.

03:22Should be a very interesting offseason for the Mets and Pete Alonzo.
