00:05They have the second worst record in baseball since the All-Star break.

00:08They've lost 18 of 26 since the All-Star break.

00:14But you know, they're leads down to six now because the Braves have won the last couple

00:18nights.

00:19They have a six game lead over Atlanta in the NLE.

00:22So Rob Thompson last night.

00:24What are we going to do here?

00:25Can talk to the players, have a meeting, let it keep going on.

00:29Yeah, I'll think about it.

00:30But I mean, I think about it all the time, you know, is it time to do it?

00:36It depends on a lot of things.

00:38It depends on the attitude and where I think the guys' minds are at.

00:44And I think overall, they're very solid right now.

00:49They're frustrated.

00:51Because they know that we're better than that.

00:54And our fans know that we're better than that.

00:57We have very knowledgeable fans and they let you know when you're not playing well.

01:32You can't be serious that you're going to bet on them right now to win it all when they

01:38I mean, honestly, like they have fallen apart.

01:42This reminded me of, you remember when the Yankees had that great start last year, whatever,

01:47and then the way they ended, the way they finished two years ago, they didn't even make

01:51the playoffs, right?

01:55I don't feel like they're a team right now in, you know, let's say, what is it, seven

02:03weeks left, six and a half weeks left of baseball before October, right?

02:11So I don't believe they're going to collapse that badly that they don't make it.

02:16I think that I question what they're going to do when they get there.

02:20If all you do is lose for four months, you're not winning the World Series.

02:29I mean, listen, we all know the facts.

02:31You don't turn it around all of a sudden because the leaves start falling and you get hot.

02:37If you're bad, you're bad.

02:38If you lose, you lose.

02:39If you're hot, you win.

02:42Hot teams like last year, the Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers both got hot and they went

02:46to the World Series.

02:47Teams that lose aren't the ones that go to the World Series.

02:52Teams that are going the, you know, southbound are going to keep going southbound until they're

02:57in Key West and they're drinking tequila.

03:01I mean, they're in trouble.

03:04And this is kind of a different, different way this year's gone for them, right?

03:07I mean, the last two years they went to the World Series last year, they went to the NLCS.

03:11They started really slow the first couple months and then turned it on and played great

03:17July, August, September.

03:19They're flipping it this year, you know, great April, May, June, and now it's going the other

03:25direction.

03:26We'll see if Rob Thompson and the group can turn it around.

03:28Let me ask you a question, Mike.

03:30Right now, if you were betting on Arizona, San Diego, or the Phillies, who would you

03:37bet on?

03:38I mean, I'm not betting on the Phillies.

03:41Well, I mean, I think also, I mean, let's factor in this too.

03:45You know, the Phillies are like five or six to one to win the World Series.

03:50And the Diamondbacks and the Padres are like 18 to one to win the World Series.

03:55And I think all the more reason because I think, you know, we saw the Diamondbacks beat

04:00them last year.

04:01And I think you could make the case that this Diamondback team might be a little bit better

04:06than the one that went to the World Series last year.

04:09So I think that right now, because they're scorching hot, but there's some time to go

04:16here.

04:17You know, the one thing that worries me about the Phillies is, is that they're, you know,

04:21they're just not scoring.

04:22You know, that is the one thing.

04:23They hit so many home runs and they score so many runs.

04:26I mean, they're getting shut out at home by the Marlins.

04:29You know, that's a tough thing to do in that ballpark.

04:32I think it was the first time all year they were shut out at home at the bank.

04:36So that's a rough scene for them all the way around.
