Sunday will be a settled day with light winds and variable amounts of cloud,

though there will be some sunny spells also, particularly in the west.

Though a band of light rain and drizzle will affect the far north-east later.

But back to tonight's weather.

After a rather gloomy day for many, cloud will persist across central and southern parts of England,

with a chance of some localised mist and fog patches, particularly in the east.

Across northern England and parts of Scotland, skies will clear tonight, allowing for a localised frost.

Though elsewhere, under cloudier skies, temperatures will remain around 4 or 5.

Looking ahead to Sunday's weather, a band of light rain and drizzle

will push into far north-eastern parts of Scotland through the morning,

and this will mark a change to cooler and clearer conditions.

Elsewhere, it will be mostly cloudy, with the best chance of any sunny spells

in the south-west of England, west Wales or western parts of Scotland.

Temperatures tomorrow will be a touch cooler than they were today,

with a high of 9 in the south-west.

Through the rest of Sunday, cloud will spread westwards with light rain and drizzle
