00:00And I started as an intern during college,
00:03just like everybody else, I needed a job,
00:05I needed some money, so I was an intern
00:06and then became a full-time management trainee in 2000.
00:10And so 95% of our management team
00:13has actually come through the management training program.
00:15And so promoting from within means
00:17we can take more time with our employees,
00:19we can take more time to develop them,
00:21give them the resources that they need
00:23to make sure they're developing their career with us
00:26for the long haul.
00:27We view our employees as an investment.
00:30And then, as I talked about earlier,
00:32we have our fleet management business,
00:34which is our original business.
00:36We have truck rental, we have commuting,
00:38we have car sharing, we have business rental sales,
00:41we have this huge sales organization.
00:43So once you go through that management training track,
00:46you can then hop over into these other business lines
00:49that you already know the fundamentals of the business.
00:51It's like getting your MBA on the job.
00:54It is a huge competitive advantage for us
00:56that we invest in our people.
00:58And I also want to note that you took part
01:00in said management training program.
01:01Absolutely.
01:02Man, I know how to wash a really good car.
01:05But that is not what it is about.
01:06It's about getting your MBA on the job.
01:08It is really fun because you are growing
01:11and developing your own business, your own team.
01:13You're responsible for your customer service,
01:16your P&L, and driving the business.
01:19Because each location is its own business.
01:22They're running multi-million dollar assets
01:24at that business.
01:25And so our people tend to be on the younger side
01:29in those locations, but we're really trying
01:31to develop them for the future.
01:32And it's been very successful for us.
