ECR 'family' congress set to unite right-wing parties

Family and the fight against the demographic crisis gripping Europe have long been central to the ECR and FDI’s political agenda.

00:00Addressing issues related to family and demography will be at the center of the upcoming European

00:07Congress on Family, organized by the ISIA party in Croatia.

00:11In a briefing held in Rome, the party's Secretary General Antonio Giordano, alongside representatives

00:17of Brothers of Italy, explained the focus of the event and why these topics are central

00:22to the Conservatives' political agenda.

00:24A theme is certainly the valorial point of view, on which the Conservatives have a very

00:30clear idea.

00:31Great openness to all kinds of rights, but with the family at the center.

00:36Then there are the economic challenges that families face, and this will be discussed with

00:45economists.

00:46Then there are the technological challenges, because let's not forget that today one of

00:52the elements of family crisis is the abandonment of dialogue in favor of social media.

00:59A total of 300 delegates from around the world will attend the event, among them representatives

01:05from various right-wing forces.

01:08The ICR's party mission is to strengthen ties among Conservatives around shared values,

01:13acting as a mediator among different parties.

01:16When we talk about family, we bring everything together.

01:19So we will have members of the People's Party, we will have members of the Patriots, of course

01:25the majority of the members will be members of the European Conservative Party.

01:29In general, the ICR's project is to be the center of dialogue, therefore the point of

01:36agreement where we can speak to our right and to our left, and in the future, I hope

01:44to go even further to the left.
