European police reopen 46 cold cases in effort to identify women's remains

00:08some of which were murdered decades ago. In an attempt to put a name to them and find out

00:13how they died, Interpol has launched an appeal to the public in a video endorsed by celebrities.

00:30They deserve dignity and justice.

00:36On its website, the organisation has released information and photographs

00:40that until now had only been available to investigators,

00:44like key dates or details of the victim's physical appearance.

00:50We believe we've explored all possible leads in these cases and that the answer may lie with a

00:54member of the public who knows this person, who can send us a message via the Interpol website

01:00to provide us with information that will then verify.

01:05It's the second time Interpol has asked the public to help crack these types of cold cases.

01:10Launched back in 2023, the first campaign helped ignite some new leads

01:15and identify a British woman over 30 years after her murder.
