LNP’s David Crisafulli promises investment in local health facilities

Queensland's Opposition Leader David Crisafulli has promised more money for local health facilities in central Queensland if elected.

00:07State LNP leader David Christopher Lee is campaigning here.

00:10He's announced a $95 million health sciences training facility, if elected, which would

00:16act as a pathway for school students who want to become health practitioners.

00:21Health is one of the key issues he's campaigning on, as well as youth crime and the cost of

00:26living.

00:27It's his second announcement of the day.

00:28He was in Brisbane this morning at an AgForce conference, where he announced a $30 million

00:33agriculture innovation fund, if elected, designed to boost productivity in the sector.

00:39Now here in Rockhampton, it's long been a safe Labor seat.

00:42It even survived the 2012 wipeout when Campbell Newman became Premier.

00:47However, its margin has thinned in recent elections, and its Labor MP, Barry O'Rourke,

00:53is retiring.

00:54Throw into the mix that there's a One Nation supporter base, which is strong here, and

00:58you could see a three-way dogfight very quickly.
