00:07Let's say this ends, you know, let's say, I think Scott, I still think Scottie and Russell

00:11Henley are going to find a way to at least get the United States some points, whether

00:15that's, I think a full point, but even just a half point, I think they're going to get

00:18him something today.

00:20Let's say 6-4 going into tomorrow.

00:24And tomorrow, of course, is more traditional.

00:26Like we see in the Ryder Cup, it splits the day, morning and the afternoon, you're going

00:29to get four of the foursomes, four of the four balls, going back and forth.

00:36Does Furyk now have to kind of go back to what the good sauce was yesterday, which is

00:41splitting up Cantlay and the X-Men?

00:43Kind of get, you know, I don't think you touched this Scheffler-Henley pairing, which seems

00:47to be going pretty good the last two days, but he's got to get Keegan back in there,

00:51who brought a lot of fire yesterday, split up Cantlay and X-Men, kind of got to go back

00:55to the stuff that worked on Thursday.

00:59Pretty strange.

01:00Some of these moves that Furyk made, and you can't completely fault him because you have

01:04a 5-0 lead.

01:05Now you can kind of, you know, play around a little bit and try some new combinations.

01:08And so I think that I don't, I don't think he was expecting to lose, you know, close

01:12to 4-0 or 4-1 or, you know, whatever it is, an all shot.

01:16This was not on his bingo card.

01:17So I'd say that I do like what he's done with some of these new pairings.

01:21The Scottie Scheffler-Sam Burns pairing from the past, you know, Ryder Cup and President's

01:25Cup.

01:26I know those guys wanted to play together.

01:27They're good buddies.

01:29It wasn't working.

01:30And it seems that we found a new partner for Scottie Scheffler that's a lot more successful

01:34and Russell Henley.

01:35And I think, you know, to kind of play it forward, this is really interesting because

01:38Henley's not a guy that you expect to see on a lot of these teams.

01:41He played well over the last few years to earn his way onto this team.

01:44But I think now you're going to hear him in a lot of conversations for the Ryder Cup next

01:48year because he's a guy that can play well with Scottie Scheffler.

01:51So I think that that's a great partnership.

01:53But on the other side of that, you know, I think it was, I think Keegan and Sam Burns

01:58were like nine under combined yesterday.

02:00And to bench both of them for this session doesn't make a ton of sense to me.

02:04Shopley and Cantley, you kind of found some different partners for them yesterday as well

02:07that were working.

02:08And to go away from that, I know they want to play together.

02:11But I think after this, you might keep those two guys apart for the duration of this competition.

02:15I mean, at least tomorrow, they're the last few times they can play together because you

02:18have both a four ball and a foursome session for four matches in each of those tomorrow.

02:22But I think both if those guys lose in the fashion they're losing right now, I think

02:26both those guys get rested tomorrow in the morning and you see him back to their old

02:29pairings in the afternoon.

02:31I know that we said we weren't going to kill weird because it's working out so well today,

02:35but I still Charlie was stunned that he didn't play Tom Kim today.

02:38It was still stunning just because he's the youngest one of the youngest guys, you know,

02:41he could play all five sessions.

02:43He was the only guy bringing fire yesterday trying to get the crowd pumped up.

02:46Why the hell just sit him today?

02:48But again, it's working for him.

02:49So it's hard to criticize.

02:51It didn't make any sense to me either.

02:52I mean, we were all smiling.

02:53I was smiling and I were recording our journal last night when these parents came out and

02:56I was stunned.

02:57I just I cannot figure out why you bench a guy that, you know, in this competition, when

03:02you have less depth, the Americans, you got to kind of use that the full extent of that

03:06roster and get a guy like Tom Kim and as many sessions as you possibly can.

03:11But hey, I mean, I saw Tom camera walking around and like a cool looking bucket hat

03:15earlier.

03:16They got Minwoo Lee out and like an international hockey jersey pumping up the crowd.

03:21That's the other thing that's worth stating.

03:23It was pretty subdued on the ground yesterday in Montreal.

03:26Not a ton of fans there for whatever reason, maybe just because it was a Thursday early

03:29on.

03:30And I think the internationals really kind of were hurt for not having as much fan support

03:35as they could have to bolster them as competition.

03:37I mean, we were talking about it like this thing should be in Australia every year because

03:41you know, they're going to show up.

03:42They're gonna be drinking their fosters getting after it.

03:45So I think that today having that fan energy in a much bigger way and then having guys

03:51like Tom Kim and Minwoo to pump them up.

03:53It's evil.

03:54They're not playing.

03:55It's helped a lot.
