00:00So, Brintley, to kind of shift back to the tour side of things and looking at, you know,

00:07the two categories in which we can see guys come out of PGA, the regular PGA tour year

00:12standings and of course, PGA tour, you accelerated, you know, Gordon Sargent already has his card

00:17locked up.

00:18And actually, that's another question I want to get to a little further down the line is

00:21just the makeup of the Walker Cup team and the way those standings and those cards will

00:24impact that sort of team, especially as they've just had their first practice session.

00:28But starting with the regular PGA tour year standings, the three that are near the top

00:34of those standings, shout out to the heels, my guy, David Ford.

00:38He's up there.

00:39And then, of course, USM champion Bias there and Auburn's Brendan Valdez as well.

00:45Fall season's over.

00:46What sort of, you know, if you had to make a prediction right now, who do you think shakes

00:49out as the number one at the top of that list at the end of this next season?

00:55I do like the way that David Ford has played this fall when you look at the two wins, especially

01:02coming off a summer where he didn't play that well, he had some issues with his lower back

01:06and his hip.

01:07And I think he was contemplating surgery there for a little bit.

01:10And I'm kind of similar to what we saw with Austin Greaser in the wrist a year ago, things

01:15just kind of miraculously got better for him.

01:18And I think he's learned a little bit more about his body and how to manage those things.

01:22So incredible fall for him.

01:24But he's also one and two against Bias there in the fall, Bias there missed a tournament.

01:29Otherwise, he could have two wins as well, hasn't finished outside the top five.

01:33I think when you look at the race for PGA Tour, you it's probably the number one is

01:39probably going to end up being the player of the year in in college golf.

01:42You know, I think that's there's going to be a lot of overlap with some of those awards

01:45and that's unique to really like that.

01:48That's hasn't been the case lately.

01:50Yeah.

01:51And, you know, especially because last year, Jackson Coven just had such a great year.

01:54Like you've always had some other classmen, yeah, Clanton.

01:58But now you have two seniors here who have kind of ran away from the pack a little bit.

02:03And we have a lot of golf left.

02:04I mean, teams are playing what, five, six times before their conference championships

02:08in the spring.

02:09Like someone could come out of nowhere, you know, maybe a guy that's been a little bit

02:13sleepy this fall like Clinton or Jackson Coven or even Brendan Valdez, who's in the running

02:19for that number one as well.

02:20I do think it's speaking of rarities, Smiley, by the time we get to San Diego here in late

02:27May, like we're going to have a PGA Tour, you race, that's not going to be already over

02:31like the first few years.

02:33It's been kind of a formality for Michael Thorpe-Jorgensen, for John Pak, like those

02:39guys it's already been over mathematically.

02:41So I think it's going to be a lot, lot closer.

02:45But I do think that the player of the year is probably going to be Jose Ballester from

02:52Arizona State.

02:53I think he's just at a different level.

02:56Like what we saw at Hazeltine when in the USA and how he's been able to translate and

03:03kind of come into college and then actually fly like to Spain and play a DP World Tour

03:07event and then come back and not miss a beat at the Williams Cup and finish top five.

03:12He just does things I think across the board that a lot of guys in college golf right now

03:17can't really say.
