00:00AGA Partylist Representative and Pork Producers Federation of the Philippines President, Congressman Nicanor Briones,

00:08after President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. passed the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act.

00:15Briones is one of the principal sponsors and authors of the law that prohibits heavy penalties

00:22to the producers of agricultural products such as hoarders, smugglers, profiteers, and cartels.

00:31Under the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act, the National Council led by the Office of the President

00:39and it is expected to be a part of the agricultural sectors.

00:44There will also be an Enforcement Group including the PNP, NBI, PCG, and Department of Finance.

00:52There is also a Special Team of Prosecutors and Rewards System for the investigation of smuggling operations.

01:01Meanwhile, the Bureau of Customs is not included in the National Council,

01:06and there is no mention of smugglers included.

01:09Briones believes that what is mentioned in the National Council is enough

01:14and those who will investigate so that smuggled agricultural products will not be included.
