00:05The weather changes nearly every day.
00:10Some days are hot, some are pleasant and some are cold.
00:18Some days are windy and on some days it rains.
00:25You must have often heard the elders in the family talk about the maximum and minimum
00:31temperature of a particular day.
00:36This means that even during the day the temperature changes.
00:42Early mornings and nights are cooler than the day.
00:48Weather affects the way we live.
00:52The kind of food we eat and the kind of clothes we wear depends upon the weather.
00:59If the days are hot, we like to wear light cotton clothes.
01:06Cotton is good because it absorbs sweat.
01:11We feel comfortable in soft loose clothes.
01:16We don't like to wear clothes which stick to our body.
01:21We also keep a handkerchief or tissue papers to wipe sweat.
01:28We like to stay indoors, especially in the afternoons when it is very very hot.
01:36We feel like drinking lots of liquids, cool lemonade, fruit juice, milkshakes etc. and
01:44eat food which is not too heavy or fried.
01:50We wear woolen clothes when it is cold.
01:55These help our bodies to stay warm.
01:59We like to wear bright colors too.

02:06If the wind is light and gentle, it is very pleasant.
02:13We like to play in the park, go for a walk or do some cycling on such days.
02:20But if the wind is very strong, then we should not go out.
02:26We might get hurt.
02:30On some days it rains.
02:33These days are called rainy days.
02:37At times the rain is heavy, at times it is light.
02:43When we go out, we either wear a raincoat or use an umbrella.
02:50Sometimes there is wind along with the rains.
02:54The umbrella cannot protect us then.
02:58You have often heard the words summer, winter and rainy season.
03:06When the same kind of weather continues for two to three months at a time, that period
03:13is called a season.

04:32The sky is covered with dark clouds and it rains almost daily.
04:40Everything in nature looks washed and clean.
04:45Then comes autumn.
04:48The leaves change color and fall.
04:52The days start getting cooler.
04:55The animals get ready for the winter months.
