His Majesty, who ascended the throne on Jan 31, 2024, is making his maiden state visit to China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. 00:00His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has arrived in China for a four-day state visit.

00:06His Majesty is making his maiden state visit to China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.

00:12The special aircraft carrying His Majesty departed on Thursday morning

00:17from the Royal Malaysian Air Force Subang Air Base

00:20and arrived at the official terminal, Beijing Capital International Airport, at 3.30 p.m.

00:26Sultan Ibrahim was received at the airport by China's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs

00:31Sun Weidong, China's Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing,

00:35Malaysian Foreign Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Seri Amran Muhammad Zain,

00:40and Malaysia's Ambassador to China Datuk Norman Muhammad.

00:44During the visit, Sultan Ibrahim will be accorded a ceremonial welcome

00:49at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, followed by an audience with Xi

00:53and a state banquet hosted by the Chinese President.

00:57His Majesty will also grant an audience to Premier Li Qiang

01:00and visit the Beijing COMAC Aircraft Technology Research Centre

01:04to observe the latest developments in China's aviation technology.

01:09The visit also coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China.
